These aren't lightfast, they are dye based colors. However, Faber Castell do make a line of lightfast watercolor markers under the Albrecht Durer line. There aren't as many colors, but all are marked with 2 to 3 stars meaning they have high to excellent lightfastness. These Goldfaber markers are excellent for learning how to work with watercolor markers, though. I'm having a blast playing with them! I just wish they had a pale mint green kind of color in the range; it's the only color I feel like is missing.

Quick question of what to do if the marker is dried out after a while can you reactivate it?
Hi there, when the marker is dried out, you can try to dip the pen into water and maybe this helps to refresh the nib. We hope it helps!
