Biuret test for protein
Benedict's test for reducing sugars
Ethanol emulsion test for fats
DCPIP test for vitamin C
Iodine - Starch test - += blue/black from orange
Biuret - Protein test - += purple from blue
Benedict - Reducing sugar - +=orange from blue
Éthanol émulsion - Fats - += cloudy white from colourless

Honestly, the video was surprisingly well-constructed and beautifully produced. It was clear and concise and got the point across smoothly. Overall a pretty great choice by our online teachers lol
Yea
Why surprising 😏
my biology teacher assigned this video for us to watch, and it's surprisingly helpful. great video!
anyone from quarantine whose teachers told em to watch this here?

My teacher gave this to me 5 hours before my test , you really helped
It does very much
Teacher decided to show us this day before exams...thanks for the help
+Mikhail Diljohn you're welcome. Hope you did well in the exams
Science Sauce Thanks man and the exam went well :D
Mikhail Diljohn you got a D? Jk
Me neither
I still remember in 2020 during online school when our teacher made us watch this video during class. Makes me nostlagic. Until today it's useful for me and I'm using it for quick revision in 12th grade for my combined science exam, it's excellent for jogging memory. Thank you for this straightforward video!
Biology Assessment tomorrow, this really helped, thank you so much. The assessment's on the whole of Topic 1 (enzymes, food tests, osmosis, etc.) All your videos are really helpful.
I've seen more than 10 videos to understand the differences between benedict's, iodine, and biuret test but none of the videos was straight forward as this video. This is the best one. Thank you so much for this explanation.
Thank you much. I'm having a biology test tomorrow and teacher decide to include this on the test. This was really helpful :)
Good luck with your test. Remember that with questions on this topic, if it asks you "How to safely test for the presence of ...", you get a mark for safety. For example, "Wear safety goggles".
Science Sauce Thank you so much and for the tip which I will make sure to note :)
Science Sauce Gosh thanks for that tip. I have a biology practical exam tomorrow and I don't even know what they might give. Thanks, I'll go check out your other videos now
Same.
Science Sauce to kind bro
Good luck 2019 biology students!

Thank you so much! I have been watching tons of videos on youtube yet none were like yours! You were extremely clear about the observations and it was a very easy video to understand. Thank you Mr.Science Sauce!!!!
Why is everyone's teacher giving this to them right before exams🤔
because my exam is tomorrow
I got a feeling that my bio teacher will give us a test tomorrow😂
riquel carey I KNOW RIGHTYTT
OhMiC SAMEEEEE
Same dude but a bit earlier
This was very useful, I have my a level unit 3 internal assessment in few hours and this definitely saved me.

Anybody watching the video now?? But honestly this was very helpful i wrote the IGCSE exam last year and managed to get an A star thanks to you sir.. Amazing teacher
Where have you been all this time thank you so much I really appreciate 🥰🥰
If i was dipped in ethanol it would turn into a real cloud
I'm dead!!!!LMAO
@@alterego8632 Perhaps you were dipped in methanol
LOL!!
Alter Ego, thankfully I am not
😂😂😂😂😂LOL
To any GCSE students good luck. And anyone whose taking any form of a science test and watched this!
But thanks for the great video, it was easy to follow and understand, really helped with my studies! :)
I’m watching this 5 minutes before my bio exam. Fingers crossed 🥲
CONCISE,BRIEF AND EFFECTIVE.CHEERS
An actual clear explanation, thanks.
☆☆☆☆☆ 5 STARS , NICE vid, straight to the point of the tests, easy to understand THANK YOU! Please make more for BIO Labs !
exactly what i thought 👍👌😊
biology practical exam tomorrow, so this really helped me to know what exactly am i supposed to do. thanks op!
Thanks for making us to understand
For reducing sugars you can also use Sudan 3 which separates the oil from the water, leaving the oil on top in a red colour.
Sudan III is a lipid test not a reducing sugar test. Otherwise you are correct but emulsion test is a better one.
Thanks this really helped! Tomorrow I have lab session :)
Dudes voice is so soothing this video is yes
Great explanation !!!!It was really really helpful!! I needed this the day before my exam .....THANKS FOR THE HELP @Science Sauce
You’re most welcome
Ahhh thank you sooooo much my IS teacher gave me and my classmates this vid to watch a dat before our😀 exams and it helped soooo much thank you sooo much
This video actually helped me with my science homework
Bro I am only litterly the person watching in 2023 Science sauce you are really awesome I hope I will do well in tomorrows test 🥰
I have a Biology test tomorrow.Taking help from this video.😇
Good luck for your test.
This video helped me with my Science home work. Thank You Science Sauce. I subscribed
+pika147chu happy to help! Hope you get a good mark
9th grade biology where y'all at
given the Question," Describe how each of the food samples identified in this experimental video is metabolised" how should one answer that question?

Thank you so much for this

AM having a biology practical tomorrow hope this will help me please thank you.
Great video. You explain very well. Continue!
Thanks for making this Video. I really thanks the video maker from the bottom of my heart. For his video, I will be Passing my Science Exam. Once again Thank you very much. Keep making videos and keep helping us.
I just Loved the video.
Thanks for the comment. Good luck with your science exam.
Thanks
thank you it helped a lot 😀👍
Thanks this video helped me in biology revision
There is also the Fehling's test, also used to test for glucose.
Fact: Both the Benedict's test and the Fehling's test was used to detect the amount of glucose in the urine of diabetics. Actually, they use a colorimetric chart to tell the amount of glucose in the urine.
best tutorial and yea my teacher sent me here before my test
Who came here because of the DCPIP test?
Learning all the practicals the day of my exam lmao! (teachers never taught me them and i only just realised how important they are *facepalm*) thanks for this!
Good luck for your exam
Science Sauce thanks! It went okay
l think it is good things to teach biology online l like it
Well my teacher knew which video to choose ,best teacher to best opinion ❤
Thanks i have written the exam Good💖💖
You can even take a food item, wrap it in paper and just rub the paper. The paper would turn greasy and a bit translucent if the food item has fats. This test is far more easier than the one you did.
Thats true, but IGCSE demands you to use the emulsion test to test for fats 🤷♂️
Thanks
what would you say is a helpful way to remember the colour changes as my exam is next week - good video by the way !
good luck 2021 biology students
thanks guys really helped out
aw man this helped alot! thank you so much!!

THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH (yes, I am losing my mind, but seriously, thank you.)
this helped preparing 4 my exam tommorow
Good luck
made easy to understand.
great educational video.
+Dr. Bhalchandra Gajare thanks for the feedback!
why do we need to include water in this experiment?
It’s used as a control, to confirm that any observable changes are the result of a biological molecule.
Thanks :D
why do u have to pour the biuret solution on top of the protein suspension, basically y does it have to form a layer on top before mixing?
It doesn’t. In the experiment in the video I used egg white which is very thick so the solutions didn’t mix until shaken or stirred. It’s not necessary for that to happen when testing for proteins, however.
Plz upload a video how we could check out the life of a food products
looking for DCPIP for Vitamin C test. what is this and where can i get it?
THANK YOU SO MUCH
you know for the change in colours for each test is there a way of remembering each change and what it indicates? because there are a lot of changes in colour and I can't remember what each change in colour indicates
+Shrey Patel not really, I'm afraid it's just something that takes time. I recommend summarising it all in a table.
thanks very much mate, your a legend👊🏽
why’s willne teaching me biology

Thanks for helping
