Im an IFB and i do not understand all the men setting on the platform. Are those the deacons? Im a deacon and aint no way I would want that kind of spotlight on me like Im better than anyone else. Sorry but Tony is way to showy for me and our church.

Those are staff members- assistant pastors, song leaders, etc. This is a large church and they have several staff members. Some IFB churches do this, some do not. I'm with you and I don't care for it- I think it may be wise in some cases to have one or two up there to scan the crowd and watch over things while the preacher is preaching, but this could be considered a bit excessive. By the way, this is not the church Tony Hutson pastors- he is a guest preacher here.
