These camping videos aren't easy to produce, making a camp, looking after dogs and then filming it all which entails setting up the camera hundreds of times, that is exhausting, then coming home and editing all that footage and uploading it (pain in the ass). I love and respect what you do Matt and if real life is more important at this time im sure true fans will understand.

I feel like I'm in the wilderness, out camping and fishing. It's so relaxing to be able to watch it all happen and not have to do any of the work. I love the outdoors and the way all of it seems so easy for you. It brings me joy, as I'm sure it does to so many others. What you are doing is important, helping so many people learn to appreciate the wilderness as well as experience it vicariously through your videos. I have caught mysef mumbling your quirky sayings like "soupy" and "not too much salt..." I just want you to know that people really enjoy you and your personality. They miss it when it's not there. If you need a break for any reason, please take a break because no one should get burned out doing what they love. Best of my knowledge, Matt doesn't carry a PLB or satellite communicator, nor any weapons either. I kept checking his last video for possible news. Already lost one of my favorite youtube outdoor adventurers, (RIP MegaWoodswalker) and I don't want have it happen to anyone else.

Your love for camping is obvious. But, usually you are super pumped to get out on those longer trips. This most recent one showed that while you were still glad to be out and having fun, it was different than past trips.
Dude, you put in a TON of time and effort to produce all this content for us. Beautiful shot framing, time-consuming camera placement and paddle-bys (followed by the return to do the pickup), editing and inserting clips from previous vids ("I waited all day for you . . . OH!!!"), not to mention cooking and dehydrating the sghetti, preparing the gear inventory (and occasionally forgetting a tarp), driving 8 hours to get there . . . and I'm sure I'm missing out a ton of stuff. You take all the time you need. If you had a Ferrari, you wouldn't drive it pedal-to-the-metal all the time, cos it would break. So don't do it to yourself either. :)

This video backs up what I am about to say. If you go back and listen... actually LISTEN to Posa, he has stated SO MANY TIMES in past videos that he does NOT like the heat. This summer has been a very hot summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. It has just been baking everyone. The man doesnt like the heat, so he took a break away from the heat. Yes other things were going on in his life like he said, but the heat was a major part of it. For those who sit there in the A/C saying "Where is my next video?", try this... you go outside in the heat for 2 or 3 days and do as much work as it takes to camp or better yet YOU go start a youtube channel doing this same thing week after week and lets see what you think then. Camping isnt work you say... well my friend, do I have some shocking news for you. Camping, fishing, and so on is fun but it is very much work. So until it cools off, you have YEARS of content to go back an play again. Hey, whats it going to hurt. You play Posa's videos again and he gets just a bit more from the ads and since you started over from the beginning some content will seem like new because you have already forgotten it.
I believe some of us were genuinely concerned for the families well being. His wife’s mother has been I’ll. I remember him saying that and that he might take some time. But after hearing of the sudden tragedy in another campers family it bothered some of us that we hadn’t had an update lately. That’s my reason anyway. I can wait for videos. I understand completely what hard work it is.

So this is my second comment this morning, I’ve been thinking 🤔 you should just take off July and August every year. I clean peoples houses for a job and other than a couple weekly jobs I take off July and August. It allows me to spend time with my kids while they are not in school and just enjoy life. I’m with you , screw summer 🙄 Bring on cold and snow !! I live outside Philadelphia and this summer has been the worse !! I use to stand on the back of an asphalt paver , paving miles of road each day or running a Jack hammer all day. Asphalt is over 300 degrees at times and on a 95 degree day , it was brutal. Hi Mathew, could I ask you something. First off not an attack just genuinely curious :) I'm messaged a few UK hikers with dogs and wanted an answer in regards to taking the dog out in hot weather. But every 1 of them seem to answer but swerve the question...in the uk it's frowned upon or deemed unsafe to take you're gog out in hot weather...8 believe 19 and under ok 20+ celcious is dangerous and you hear of plenty of family pets having heatstroke. Then you get some hiking channels (good ones with dogs who seem to run around in hot weather 26 celcious and over and they seem OK. How do you gauge what's too hot for them and what's OK...what's hottest you take them out in? How do they cope, is it just trial and error building a tolerance? Di you keep an eye on them to make sure they don't overheat. I don't fancy taking my dog out if it's too warm and putting them at risk without knowing that's all. Any help appreciated pal

Been a while since I watched a vid. Like all things, when my interest in something dies down, I pretty much avoid all contact with it. Just what I do. Been getting the camping itch again though (why it comes after summer, I have no idea) so I figured I'd drop in. Good to see though that you and da bois are doing good. Have started to think about maybe soon getting some stuff together and try some winter camping and maybe try out some of the meat based recipes you and other camping channels have done. All depends on my job, which actually gets more active in the winter due to being a ski resort. Stay frosty mate.

So this is my second comment this morning, I’ve been thinking 🤔 you should just take off July and August every year. I clean peoples houses for a job and other than a couple weekly jobs I take off July and August. It allows me to spend time with my kids while they are not in school and just enjoy life. You deserve it Matthew! We all love you guys and want you to be happy. Something to think about for next year! ❤️❤️😎

Bring on cold and snow !! I live outside Philadelphia and this summer has been the worse !! I use to stand on the back of an asphalt paver , paving miles of road each day or running a Jack hammer all day. Asphalt is over 300 degrees at times and on a 95 degree day , it was brutal. So anyone who likes summer can have it , I’m done with it !!

Hi Mathew, could I ask you something. First off not an attack just genuinely curious :)
I'm messaged a few UK hikers with dogs and wanted an answer in regards to taking the dog out in hot weather. But every 1 of them seem to answer but swerve the question...in the uk it's frowned upon or deemed unsafe to take you're gog out in hot weather...8 believe 19 and under ok 20+ celcious is dangerous and you hear of plenty of family pets having heatstroke. Then you get some hiking channels (good ones with dogs who seem to run around in hot weather 26 celcious and over and they seem OK. How do you gauge what's too hot for them and what's OK...what's hottest you take them out in? How do they cope, is it just trial and error building a tolerance? Di you keep an eye on them to make sure they don't overheat. I don't fancy taking my dog out if it's too warm and putting them at risk without knowing that's all. Any help appreciated pal

Many RUclipsrs burn out and quit because they don't allow themselves breaks. Almost everyone in the world get vacation, holidays and personal time off. You should too!

Been a while since I watched a vid. Like all things, when my interest in something dies down, I pretty much avoid all contact with it. Just what I do. Been getting the camping itch again though (why it comes after summer, I have no idea) so I figured I'd drop in. Good to see though that you and da bois are doing good. Have started to think about maybe soon getting some stuff together and try some winter camping and maybe try out some of the meat based recipes you and other camping channels have done. All depends on my job, which actually gets more active in the winter due to being a ski resort.

Break up your videos to 1 - 1.5 hour increments to buy yourself some relax time. Save the best of videos for the hot months. Love the show. Dont want to see ya burnt out.

I too am not a fan of the heat. Took a MC ride thru Washington and northern Oregon last week. I was fabulous but at times too hot. Thanks for posting!

I don't enjoy camping in the summer heat either. Too many nasties want to bite you and you need more water and stuff. I always like your snow content the best anyway, makes the fire look extra cozy.
