how u figure that, ruger always eating sticks it just takes one time to get stuck in its throat and my little dude is in a world of hurt...dont understand why he cant just being the boys out some damn bones to chew on...its just so damn frustrating ..ruger is too smart so if he really put in an effort he could stop his dog from eating sticks and funk needs to lay into matthew as well to be more aware of the stick eating

I agree.. and somehow he manages to make a comeback pretty fast... so far ... but he ALWAYS has a great attitude.. Not to get religious or anything but. We used to refer to it as "Laughing atthe devil" and he does it wtih such grace :D

I lived in Texas as a kid for a few years, and what I learned about chili is that pretty much anything goes! For myself, chili is one of the dishes I make just before we go grocery shopping! I put whatever is left over in the fridge along with beans and meat, never fails to satisfy, especially in the winter. We live pretty close to a spice store called Penny's, they make the best chili spices, one for everyone. Love the idea of snow mobile camping. Small bottle of TUMS never leaves our gear bag. Coconut oil is a good thing to always keep in your bag. You can use it to cook, clean your teeth and moisturize. Has a kinda antiseptic quality about it too, not to mention replaces chapstick in a pinch.
Hope your year goes well and has many good camping nights to come for all of us! Give the dogs a good belly rub and an extra treat(or two) for us! Happy new year :)
It's been mentioned a lot, but not enough. You could have just went on camping on your own with dogs and forget having to walk back and forth with camera equipment but instead you bring all of us onto your adventures. Love the scenery! If you take a brown paper bag and put your bread in it, set it as close to the fire as you can without the bag catching fire, and your bread will warm up. I don't know why it works but I have thawed out some seriously frozen bread that way. It might make your french bread crunchy, I don't know because that has never been my objective. I guess you could try it. Good to see you out again. I have missed a couple videos, been really busy. I will have to see if you put up you special vacation videos yet. Great camp night Matt. It'd be cool to have the time pop up once in a while, so we can get an idea of how long things take - like setting up, chopping wood, and preparing dinner. Just an idea!
On your plane trip, take as much of the small expensive stuff that you can get on the plane, and when you get there buy some of the bigger stuff. When you are done, donate the bigger stuff or ship it home to have as duplicates. Have a safe trip and lots of fun, either way.

Da boys looked beautiful in the campfire lighting. It was funny seeig their reaction to the noises you were making after dinner lol. You were so patience waiting for Rogues to get comfortable while going round & round on his bedding. I was told dogs do that bc back in the day that's how they would flatten their spot on the ground of grass or hay or whatever they were going to sleep on. It's really so beautiful out there. I think if I retire early I will get a winter place there. I love the snow and snow camping. As for late starts, the easy thing to do is go out extra early, get set up, and make a nice lunch for you and the boys... then do some hiking or finish up the setup process... then dinner and relaxation. This way, no rushing, no worrying about time... just enjoying you outdoors experience.

You absolutely put green peppers in chili. AND BEER ! That's the secret ingredient. About a half can for a slow cooker.

It's really so beautiful out there. I think if I retire early I will get a winter place there. I love the snow and snow camping. As for late starts, the easy thing to do is go out extra early, get set up, and make a nice lunch for you and the boys... then do some hiking or finish up the setup process... then dinner and relaxation. This way, no rushing, no worrying about time... just enjoying you outdoors experience.
