During this one beautiful period of my life I studied dance. When learning about historic hindu female temple dancers who literally studied that art form their entire lives beginning from when they can first stand, I recall reading that those young ladies posture and hand positions can literally NOT be copied to be the same by non-hindu dancers for reasons unknown. This mystic, fantastic gypsy dancing woman had me thinking that perhaps maybe her stylings could never be copied by non-native dancers.
It's true that for somethings it's something that comes from almost a sacred source that is closely guarded. But there have been outsiders who truly felt a deep connection that actually resonated within that allowed them to tap into that same sacred source. If you are born into something you learn it like it was breathing. That "like you were breathing" feeling is impossible to replicate.
Thank you so much for uploading. I had a wonderful vacation in Spain back in 1988, that included a night in the caves in Granada, where the gypsies entertained us with their intoxicating dancing and music. I studied flamenco back in the 1980’s and this is the real thing. I love Spanish culture! Viva España!!!
I've been dancing flamenco since I was little (4yo), in highschool I quitted. Once You started never stop believe me flamenco always finds you. Next year I Will assist to an academy again thanks to a co-worker! I'm so exited! The arrogance the passion the fire. I can't describe with words what flamenco has been for me...
