To those misinformed individuals commenting on YS Jagan's supposed refusal to sign the declaration at Tirumala, it’s important to clarify that at no point did he state he wouldn’t sign it. In his recent press conference, Jagan merely questioned the timing of this issue. Why was the declaration suddenly brought up just as he planned his visit to Tirumala? He has visited the temple numerous times, both before and after becoming Chief Minister. In fact, he emphasized that he sought Lord Venkateshwara’s blessings, walking to the shrine before beginning his Padayatra, and visited again after completing it.
Why didn’t this matter arise during those earlier visits? Clearly, this declaration controversy seems politically motivated, an attempt to tarnish his reputation. One can see how declaration boards were suddenly removed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) when Jagan canceled his visit. If the declaration was truly mandatory for all non-Hindus, why take down the boards? Why should a former Chief Minister, who has faithfully offered clothes to Lord Venkateshwara during every Brahmotsavam, be compelled to declare his religion now? People across the state and nation are well aware of his faith and practices. There has never been an issue before-so why now?
It was always an issue. check your facts, before cm jagan was questioned by bjp and in the last 5 years every opposition party asked about the declaration and you can see how ysrcp defended(kodali nani answer for declaration during there tenure. so don't dare to say it's a sudden event.
