I love the editing and the GAP CAM🤣🤣🤣, check out the phenolic intake spacer it made 20degree difference on my intake temp, for day to day driving, ask rudy roode he cuts them in CPT,🙂🙂🙂 a paar lekker dak gevat!! im definitely going to slat a outtro in my next upload

@@lowdl the water meth is best practice, especially on higher boost.... but the spacer is more for stop start traffic, to have less of a heat transfer between your head and aluminum intake,
@@road_2_pow_r WMI does a great job at dropping intake temps and with a 2 nozzle setup, adds some octane as well. But the spacer has it's place. I don't care too much about traffic because the car only sees a bit of traffic on the way to the track sometimes.
Good progress 👏. You may have already done this to limit wheel spin , but stiffer rear springs will help get weight/traction over your front tyres better.
Thanks David. That's a good point. I've raised up the coilovers in the rear all the way but it's still pretty soft. Adding a helper spring might help but I'll need to look into a much stiffer spring.
@@rushdipaleker It really feels it. And I can still turn it up quite a bit more. The boost was still restricted a bit and it was only E50. With more eth and more timing it will be flying. 😅
You killed me with "I took your dak twice" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Haven't heard someone say that in quite some time, made my day. New clutch and proper bed on it, some slippage on launch to keep wheelspin to a minimum and you should be good to go hitting that 12's. Can hear that clutch slip more and more as you race, maybe look into a stronger pressure plate or dual disc setup. It's an expensive game this, but part of the fun. Keep at it bud, you doing so great and improving which is all that matters in the end. Great video btw bud, keep it up !!
Haha. It's all about taking your dak out here 😂 The clutch needs to be done. I don't want to keep racing the car like this. It's getting increasingly worse after every run. A twin disc clutch would be lovely but big money. I might just do a button with a stronger pressure plate for a while to buy me some time. Welldone and congrats. Progress and moving in the right direction. Do think you holding 1st in the limiter a tad too long though and occasionally also in 2nd.. Try a shift light in your peripheral vision about 200/250rpm before the limiter. Adjust from there to suit.
Thanks a lot. And the limiter bashing actually helps while the wheel speed catches up. If I shift at the limiter I’ll fall out of boost. It happens at 10:36 against the Polo tdi. Even though I’m banging the limiter my wheel speed isn’t high enough and I fall out of boost. Ideally with more traction I won’t need to bang the limiter. I definitely don’t need to do it in 3rd so I need to work on that. Lol. My shift light is the least of my concerns right now but as I get more comfortable, I’ll rely on it more. Instead of looking at the rpm gauge, I’ll look at that.
I’m still salty about losing to the Civic twice 😂😂😂 I need to make plans for a clutch soon. It gets expensive real quick and so many options. Glad you enjoyed the video 🙌🏽

If your NA car loses to a turbo car then it's not comparable but when an NA car beats a turbo car then the turbo car is slow. I was thinking about doing the flap but there might still be some restriction with it because of the butterfly. So I'll rather fit an exhaust and it should be good. It sounds great at the track with no exhaust though 😅
Because I'll fall out of boost if I shift after the first bounce. I have to allow the wheel speed to catch up when the car is spinning. With traction it's not needed.
@@JnateM As long as the car is tuned for it. My exhaust was choking my setup. I couldn't run more than 1.4 bar of boost. Without the exhaust it hits 1.8 bar. So turbo cars love no exhaust. That's why you see guys running their exhausts out the bonnet on turbo cars. Less restriction is good for the turbo to breathe.
It's not just you, that Mk1 is quick. I would have started pulling away at the end of 3rd if he didn't miss a gear. His best time on the day was a 13.8.

@@JEFFDAMACK1 I've been looking at the Brian Crower kit which priced really well compared to the Supertech kit. It's definitely going to be better than the STK kit and I don't plan on revving to the moon. 8200 should be good. And there's lots to be done on a 1.8T which is great.

I think it's signal dependent. A few runs were close. What I find is that the Killarney timing gear gives me slightly faster times. So I like that. Lol. At least it doesn't overshoot the time and make it seem like I'm going faster than I am. So maybe the delay is at the launch. The satalite signal only picks up once you've moved a lot where as the timing system sees you move over the line even if it's just a little.

Hey. I don't think they have individual parts for it. They replaced the core/chra. I don't think they have additional cores for sale, they would have had it on the website. They probably keep some just incase they have a broken core like in this situation. Damir is the guy in CPT. Give Alex a call in Jozi. You can get his number on their contact page. The Jozi guys are a little more helpful. But you might have to replace the whole turbo. Good luck.

Hey. I don't think they have individual parts for it. They replaced the core/chra. I don't think they have additional cores for sale, they would have had it on the website. They probably keep some just incase they have a broken core like in this situation. Damir is the guy in CPT. Give Alex a call in Jozi. You can get his number on their contact page. The Jozi guys are a little more helpful. But you might have to replace the whole turbo. Good luck.
