Awesome video, thanks man. I am heavily leaning towards moon rn cause I’m not a big fan of piano classes and like seeing those big crits but I will shed some tears for being forced to use that brilliant counter on cd instead of actually countering with it. I also appreciate you taking the time to answer all the questions in the comments!
Holy shit , it takes so mich effort and min maxing to make this work but when it does , holllly the is the most stylish gameplay i have seen to this day on lost ark
Going swift.spec, u think precise dagger is good enough instead of adrenaline because i will be able to afford 90+ quality accessories compared to -50-30 with adrenaline? is the dmg loss big even tho i will have probably 100 more spec?
Reaper doesn't scale as hard as a transformation class for example, does on spec. I really wouldn't recommend getting PD over Adrenaline. You could initially use it as a temporary set-up, but that means you'd need to spend more pheons if you decide switch out PD in the future.
From your experience, which one performs better between KBW and CD? Just curious because I have heard that entropy classes dont get as much value from KBW as others.
If you have Adrenaline 3, having about 85% crit rate or higher results in KBW performing better than CD, with Entropy Lv3 (CD goes down to about 15.1% with Adrenaline 3 due to the additive nature between AP engravings). Spec/Swift Reapers typically have above 90% crit rate due to tripods, so it makes sense to go KBW over CD.
Hey, going to be trying out Reaper and interested of going Moon because of the burst dmg since i usually play more spammy with shadowhunter and sorc. Just wondering how different are spec/crit and spec/swift on it dmg wise? I see that on spec/crit cursed doll seems to be a must have but i hate that engraving. While on spec/swift you can replace it with adrenaline. I also already happen to have legendary adrenaline books so spec/swift might be a better idea for me.
Spec/Crit does have a higher ceiling, but it's honestly not by that much. if you consider that Spec/Swift is faster, enabling you to land attacks more consistently, they're both about the same. In an "ideal" and "perfect" scenario, Spec/Crit would indeed do more damage. But those terms are nonsense and do not exist in an actual raid environment.
It's because Silent Smasher is the weakest of the 4 red skills. You cannot use all 4 because your gauge generation will not be able to keep up with all 4. And so, 3 red skills are optimal.
is Moon better or Thirst for raiding objectively? The bursty vs consistent damage engravings basically. What do you think will deal the most damage and be easier to pull off.
Thirst is easier to pull off for sure. Think of it as a piano class with the ability to constantly reposition. Moon tends to die more because you need to always use your skills (mobility and counter included) right off cooldown to generate gauge. Thus, you tend to move around a lot more due to displacement from skills, which tends to get you killed more often than not. In the end, you should pick based on what playstyle you prefer. I play Moon not because of the higher ceiling, but because I enjoy the playstyle.
Ive swapped to the RU servers so i can play reaper (even though she is coming out soon on the EU release) I have carpel tunnel, after watching thirst gameplay, Moon seems like it would be more friendly on the pain, is this true? or am i just hoping too much lol
It's really based on playstyle preference. Thirst is more of a piano playstyle where you spam all skills off cooldown and it does not require you to go stealth before every red skill. Moon has a higher theoretical damage ceiling, but Thirst is generally much easier to pull off so you may find more consistency in Thirst. Thirst also provides more of everything (stagger, counter reliability, mobility) compared to Moon. Go with whatever you feel is more interesting.
What's the condition for your counter dagger to somtimes teleporting you to the back or fron of the boss? I see that the dagger is being placed at the back, but even when there's no counter to do, I don't see nothing besides your mouse that changes where you want to teleport to. I guess it always teleports you to the front when there's a counter window.
The teleport will always teleport you to the opposite side of the boss from your current location. It doesn't matter where you land the initial hit on. So if you're at the front of the boss, it'll teleport you to the back when you use the skill again, and vice-versa.
Yep, this class uses Entropy. As for whether you should main or not, it really depends on you. You could always raise it as an alt first and then decide from there.
Thirst is usually a 1:1 split for Spec/Swift, and thus it is a piano style swift Entropy class. You simply spam red skills off cooldown. Moon is full Spec with either Crit or Swift from Necklace and is semi-burst oriented. You always need to go stealth (identity) before using a red skill.
@@SpectralVessaliux I like the style of moon engraving more, especially the way you play it, what's the different of 2nd stat of crit vs swift? is it a major difference?
@@ItsGameOva I'll just post my answer to another similar comment. Spec/Crit - Higher damage ceiling, lower consistency (slower), arguably more expensive to build Spec/Swift - Lower damage ceiling, better consistency (faster, which enables more back attacks to actually land), cheaper to build Basically you choose between having a higher potential damage ceiling or having better consistency. I always find better consistency to be more reliable, so I prefer to Spec/Swift variant. Also, having the extra CDR from Swift allows you to get counters more often.
It's a special mechanic in Hanumatan. You gain a stack every time you hit Hanumatan and lose 5 stacks whenever you get hit by him. Every stack increases your critical rate but also increases the damage that you take. At 10 stacks, you gain a 10% attack up and 5% CDR buff. At 40 stacks, the eye turns red and you gain a 30% attack up and 30% CDR buff.
I might enjoy this character. I'm a taijutsu scrapper main and from the looks of it this class kinda plays like tai scrapper. Fast cooldowns, mobile and back attack oriented. I like mobile close range characters a lot.
Is it just me or does it look like reaper is not doing as high numbers as i thought ? Would you say Moon Reaper is in a good state compared to other dps ?
You have to consider that this is a solo run; no other synergy whatsoever. For example, my damage was on average about 45m-50m in phase 3 here. In a 4 man party, I generally hit about 90-100m instead. Also, Moon Reapers do not burst as hard as like Igniter Sorc or even Surge Blade if you're looking for a comparison. They're more of consistent small bursts with the ability to quickly reposition constantly.
Nice and Easy ! The only downside of Lost ark is that its similar to other MMOs in terms of progression...you lvl up ur item lvl and only numbers increase...pretty boring in the end..
Spec/Swift Reaper does not run CD, so yes KBW + Adr is the standard. Only when you get a 5x3+2 build with Adr2, you would go both KBW and CD. If you're talking about Spec/Crit Reaper, they typically use CD + KBW without Adrenaline, so you'd have to use CD.
