Norman Caplan that means she can sing higher and better. Because she has an extremely impressive vocal range.
She actually stated in a video interview one time, that her idol was Paramore. Like, she wanted to sound like them initially. And she talked about how she used that vocal sound until she found her own, if that makes sense. Like, she grew more into her own sound over time.
Yeahh that's why in a lot of her earlier albums, she was really trying to emulate Hayley Williams.

Demi's voice has matured in a really interesting way. I kind of prefer how it sounded before but I'm assuming that she sings in a healthier and more effortless way now than she used to
I think because of getting sugary to get her tonsils removed changed her voice too
She is very influenced by rock music. I remember when she was in that Disney Channel show, there was some sort of questionaire and she mentioned that her favorite music at the time was rock. I absolutely loved that because I believe that genre is so underrated. Not to mention she knew what "emo night" was and it made me super happy. This woman is talented!

I don't think you're over reaching, I think she has one of the best voices in modern music. Like at the very least tied with Beyonce's voice
Beyonce is a great performer with a GOOD voice. There are tons of singers out there who are way better vocally but aren't as popular or have as many hits. Look at Dreamgirls. It was supposed to be her break out acting role but instead Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar for the supporting role. Her vocals and performance were so good that Beyonce demanded to have an additional scene for her character arc and while it was some of her best vocal work it just wasn't on the same level. Not sure why people keep mentioning her as a top vocalist! I think people are putting her up there with people way above her vocal range and capabilities!

However, Ariana can go higher than demi for sure, since her range just goes forever while Demi's stops at about an A5. But I still think both of these artists are incredible!

the best advice i can give it to just realllyyy breath into your stomach and try to support those jumps with a nice belt. or if you’re trying to hit a nice supported head voice (opera-esque) really picture driving the sound into your forehead and force the ringing to happen up there

I really love how Demi Lovato literally has such an incredible, talented, powerful, and very unique singing voice! She's literally one of those very rare singers who doesn't need autotune. She literally has a very beautiful gift which is her singing voice. I really how pretty much all of her live performances has always been 100% live vocals. When you mentioned back in 2009 when she sang really great and looked so young at around 8:00 she was only a teenager back then.
