I subscribed to this channel. This video just saved me $159.95 from being wasted at buying the washer. But also, you need to see the whole film because I never heard so much bird sounds ever in my life. However, later on I might get the washer and spinner instead of getting exercise equipment.

I've had mine since 2019 and it's great! I live in an apartment. I use more water than she does, let it soak for at least 10 minutes and only pull it up and down about 10 times. It works great! She makes that dryer work like a champ! Mine always shakes too much and I only use it for undergarments and socks.

Looks like such a great place to be. A couple of laundry hints if you're interested. I guess you usually soak clothes in water and detergent for a while before agitating them, because that does most of the work even with very dirty clothes. Also before rinsing it's a good idea to get as much water out of the clothes as possible, it makes rinsing more effective. Also when washing is done, before putting the clothes in the spinner you could hang them over the clothes line to let them drip out a bit. You can go do something else and let gravity do some of the work for you, then you'll need less pulls on your spinner. Also when washing is on the line switch the ends around so the water keeps evaporating from the top, this is most useful for towels, you'll notice after an hour on the line the towel is much drier at the top and very wet at the bottom. So nice that you're sharing what you've learned about off grid laundry, best of luck.

Thank you. I know a lot of that. We still bring towels, sheets and blankets to my aunt's house to wash. I do soak clothes, usually overnight. I know it is better to get more water out before rinsing and to rinse 2 times. I usually do not as my every day clothes are not that dirty.
I live in the north. We only have so many sunny days or hot ones, even in the summer, so I want to get as much water out of the clothes and get them on the line as fast and as early as I can.
Sometimes they are not dry by the end of the day. It is done by the afternoon at the hottest part of the summer, but not now. So even if it is more work, I will spin it all out and get it up. But thank you for the tips.
We will be in the shop made into the house soon enough. We have a washer when we do. But I will do a good deal of washing like this next summer I think. It is good for the arm muscles. And I will see if I can think of a practical way to wash with these in the house.

Cheapest way is just a regular bucket in bathtub. Stomp laundry like grapes. 5 min in warm sudsy water. Rinse stomp 1 min. Fabric softener stomp 1 min. It's also giving you leg exercise in the process.

You need to add more water for it to work properly. It should not be splashing like that. I believe it says to fill the tub 2/3 full of water. The buoyance of the water helps raise the basket. Heather, dear, you are working way too hard. Let the machine do the work for you and there is no need to turn the basket as you wash.

    1. That’s a lot of work on a warm day. A machine may need to agitate for ten minutes but for a human it’s hard work after while. 2. The up-down splashes much water. Your pants got soaked. 3. Not so good in the dirt. Dropping something means starting over. 4. The spinner is cool but also labor-intensive. Thanks though.

Drain, fill with clean water then do it 10 times again. I've been using this to wash my clothes in my apartment for a couple of years. It's not that bad and actually kind of nice to be able to do laundry whenever I want. I like that spin dryer thing she's using, looks like fun!
