I was born-again last April like a week after my 28th birthday. Had to let myself fall hard, then in that moment I knew it was time to let the lord into my life. When I bent the knee and forfeit my life and all my possessions to him and asked for wisdom I felt this amazing sense of warmth throughout my entire body like I was being wrapped with something, every hair on my body stood up, I knew it was the holy spirit. Never done drugs, never drank enough to get drunk, so I was completely sober. It was amazing and the lord has been guiding me ever since. I now feel so humble and at peace, I'm able to show love and love in general 100 times more than what I was capable of. Through the good news, prayer, trying to walk through the narrow gate (though I sometimes stumble), I feel like I am a new creation, I see him in all things even in the air I breathe what an amazing joyful gift. Praise the lord at how blessed we are that he chose us. Let us pray and hope that all will realize that the lord is the way the truth and the life. Great video and god bless.
It’s amazing how for me personally some of the times where I feel more connected with God and can feel his presence is when I do simple things like talk about my day, my feelings, and what I’m going through and hope for. Everything becomes still and peaceful… especially when you pray at night!
For your enjoyment I will share how powerful prayer is when you have faith in the Lord. I was homeless living in Ohio in December, and I knew that the worst weather was yet to come. I had a job that I worked, and I asked my manager to transfer my credentials to another store in Dallas, TX. I had never been there, and the climate was a whole lot warmer than Ohio. Long story-short, I had a lot of problems in Dallas, and I learned a lot about homelessness, and the plight of people. Never before had I seen a rich city reject so many. It was Christmas 2016, and as I was walking toward my camp, I was so hungry. This was about 2AM in the morning local time in the business district of Dallas. I prayed to the Lord for food, simply. In another block or so in the dead center of the street was a large family bag of Ruffles Sour Cream & Onion potato chips, lying in the turn lane. Note, that the business district at xmas was like a cold ghost town. This bag of food helped me endure for the mission that I endured there. I praised God that prayer works, when a person has faith in Jesus.
I dont expect God to answer all my prayers, I know that things will happen in God's timing. Praying for healing for years and knowing that God would heal me in his time....many years of medical issues I am finally building my life back, and putting God and his plan are in the forefront of my mind. Ive asked for a way to make it out of all the rough situations and HE always gives me a path forward. The Lord has blessed me with a second chance at life, i almost died of sepsis, bloodloss and liver failer. Had 2 more surgeries to get my body fixed and the Lord has blessed me and Im still trying to understand why God spared my life, i dont feel like i deserved the blessing once i got home from the hospital, i stuggle sometimes wondering why i am still here. God obviously has a plan for my life, it really changed how i percieve everything about life....now its HIS goal that im marching too.

Sometimes I feel like the lord isn’t listening, and it makes me feel so alone sometimes. I wish I could have a back and forth conversation with my creator but I know that’s not how things work in this plain of existence. Ask Him now, whats stopping you? Sometimes when we feel God doesn’t hear us, most of the time is because He’s preparing an answer for us in a way only you will understand it. Sometimes He might be preparing you for the thing you prayed for. Many times He might be waiting for you to be VERY honest with Him. I think you have the right poster with this. Jesus loves you and wants you to trust Him. Even when you feel like He isn’t around remember that He’s omnipresent and the Holy Spirit is in you 💖 Lastly, ALWAYS acknowledge that sin can get between our relationship with God. He loves us and wants us to hear you. I ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that He would show you He hears you with specific and loving confirmations so that your zeal would not fail, and that your joy in Him may be full. Praying has always been a tough for me to understand the format, this has helped a bit. And most days I’ll talk to God periodically throughout my day. Not really a prayer, but if I’m at work, I’ll literally talk to God in my head like he’s my best friend lol. Especially if I’m stressed and will tend to ramble a bit.

God speaks to me daily through your channel at a time when I have walked in the wilderness for too many years. I start my day by listening to your channel on my drive to work. I've yet to get back to prayer as I need to nor nowhere near the relationship with our father that I know I should have, but I'm at least working my way back little by little. A lot of times I always feel like I am having trouble with prayer because I feel like I have prayed several times and God hasn't answered my prayers so maybe I'm not praying effectively but there have been other times where I do pray and he answers me where maybe I do pray both effectively and with faith or maybe he answers me because it's something that's in his will and he's choosing to answer my prayers because it's for something in his will vs not in his will I don't know. Also, I didn't think people prayed for 6 hours or tell themselves "I'm going to pray for people when I get home" and then they forget and don't pray at all because I pray almost all the time to God whether it's effectively or not and praise the Lord he mostly answers me, and praise the Lord I get to pray to him and he gets to help me out whenever I choose to pray to him amen! 🙏🙏🏻
I more or less agree with everything you have said. We definitely try to complicate prayer and for that matter reading. The one thing I would maybe add with prayer though. Is it is also also good to just sit and be still and quiet. Allow time, perhaps after prayer to just let God speak to your heart

I tend to overcomplicate things all the time, even when trying to talk to God. This helped me keep things simple when praying for my needs. After I prayed a simple prayer, my request has been stuck on my mind as if it's encouragement from God. Father in Heaven, let Your Will be done, in Jesus' name! ❤🔥

im from Argentina,i love to come and close my eyes and listen,i enjoy it so much. i need god in my life,he has taken care of me and i did not realize when i was younger,but now i comprehend the amount of things he protected me from are many. i agree with u so much when u say,u dont have to do it out loud,some times we see someone suffering or struggling and we can just ask god for that person. he has showed me he is around,i should have died and i was called a miracle when i was a kid,i have been on the street asking him what to do to get out of that and he showed me he was there,by a truck with message that said,god's times are different or just someone coming towards me and saying just dont worry and they walked away. so i can not say he is not here with me,the problem is that sometimes,what we pray for is not wat we need.Therefore he will not make it come true,ever.unless u insist like i did,then he will say,ok,go.....ill be right here once u realize what i was trying to tell u. thanks god for this young girl who dedicates her life to illuminate others. I asked Jesus how to pray last night when i went to bed, i felt like i wasnt sure if i had a relationship with him, i wasnt sure if he would tell me "I never knew you depart from me" and i woke up 2 hours ago and i see this video and i got shocked. Lord's Prayer follows 100% the model of common Jewish prayers. It starts with doxology ("Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your name") then comes requests or thanksgiving or praise (or these all), and finally it ends to the doxology ("For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever"). Very same pattern is seen also in the book of Psalms (which is technically the prayer book and was largely used in the Church). Likely this particular prayer is from the Lord himself... since it is said to be from Him both in the gospel according to Matthew and Luke, and according to *_The Didache: The Lord's Teaching Through the Twelve Apostles to the Nations_* (which is the earliest known Christian treatise, possibly even predates the Gospel of John).
Ciao! I have somehow tried to bring together zen meditation (which I used to practice before coming back to the Lord) and Christian prayer in my own way. I have come to the point that I don’t really ask anything anymore but simply contemplate. I feel the need to taste that sweetness of simply being there with the Father and rest in his harms. Then I use to conclude with the Heavenly Father (Padre Nostro, as we use to say in Italy) to honor the teaching, then my favorite psalm and I am done. When I get inspired I use to talk but just like talking to a friend. Blessings
Experiencing God's mercy and living before His presence is what we should seek, even so that our entire life should become prayer. But I'm not sure if that can be done by bringing together zen meditation and Christian prayer (I don't intend to be judgmental, but by mixing Pagan things to Christian prayer one is at risk of prelest, especially if one is "fantasizing"/envisioning which shouldn't be done in prayer) when there is already the 2000-year Christian tradition for the very same thing. Also, prayer is not just about making requests, but also praising and thanksgiving. When we abide in God, we are filled with joy and peace. And when the soul overflows, this joy and awe comes naturally out as praying and singing... no wonder if angels in Heaven praise Lord our God 24/7.
Totally agree. So much so that, being zen meditation object-less in its essence, I felt the need to overcome that emptiness and come back to my Catholic education. Nonetheless I found the technique of detaching from constant mental flow to be part of the Christian mysticism as well. That is the only feature I kept. Much love, Davide
I have to say this is a helpful video for people who are close to Jesus but if your someone who is addicted to secret sin; some desperate prayers will have to be made. There are kinds of prayers that won’t do much. Yes she has her way of praying but if I’m honest praying in tongues or prayer language will give you dominion, deliver and wake you up. In her case this may not be as necessary because she is actively serving the Lord.
Hello! One of the problems is that, we may sometimes ask the Lord things we do not need. But we keep thinking we need it. From my point view, it's quite difficult to really fully understand this prayer. It's a good thing that the Lord gives us each day blessings, gifts, that we haven't even asked Him. Thank you! I think anxiety and fear can lead some people to come to the Lord. I prayed about that woman several years ago. I was in love with her and we were both Christians. I was absolutely convinced she was gonna be my wife. Wasn't it biblical to pray about her? After all, she was a Christian and I was a Christian too. I think it wouldn't have been biblical if the girl wasn't Christian, but she was. The first day I came to that church, I noticed her. However, I was obviously in love with the wrong person, even if both of us were Christians. Several years later, she's married and has several children and I am still single and lonely 😄 But maybe that's what the Lord wants for me and maybe it won't always be like that. I absolutely don't know. Maybe the best is yet to come.

i have also many prayers that have been answered but before i start to pray i always confess my sins to God and then i will go ahead with the prayer. yes you dont need to spend alot of time to ask and to thank God for his presence in your life. i usually spent 5-15 mins and i everything that i need is condensed in that timeslot. beautiful teaching there, though i would advice you to get a king james bible. the other modern translations have some verses that have been removed or altered. thank you for the video sister becky. i thank God that he created something as beautiful as you! 😍
The more u seek the closer u get, joy, peace comes the more we seek him, we feel he's presence, isn't that so? So u mean we can't pray while at work? Or doing other activities, walking? What I understand is that prayer shouldn't be like some kind of script, but just talk him as ur closest friend. What I understand is that he wants you to share everything with him, make him nr 1
do you pray in tongues? I do that a lot and I find it way easier to pray that way. we also need to spend some quiet time to hear the Spirit. and don't neglect 'mental images' that pop up during prayer time. they tend to be visions (though, not to be confused with hounding oppressive images. those can come too - that's where holy living comes in.) it's good to write things down too. it's very easy to overlook and forget much of what God tells us during prayer time otherwise
The Holy Spirit led me here and you spoke what the Spirit wanted me to know. I truly needed to hear and learn this as God is calling me to have faith in Him and trust instead of continuing to live my life in fear, doubt, anxiety, and ignorance of His will for my life. Now I know for sure what God wants me to do in my suffering circumstances is trust in who he is and ask him for more faith since my spirit is broken.

A very insightful talk. Thank you for taking the time to do this! I'm still re-learning how to pray well. I have to back up alot and realize when I'm just rattling off my wants, and just ask Him what He wishes for me instead of treating him like Santa Clause. I find it helpful to pause alot in reverence and just listen. I don't typically hear any answer right then. but I feel it's important to show Him I'm listening, as in a conversation and not just a one way collection of thoughts. I look at it as though I'm speaking to a respected human Elder. I wouldn't walk up and say the same thing over and over, because that would be bizarre lol.

Prayer is simple, and as natural and crucial for the soul as breathing is for the body. Yet, at the same time it is truly (as many previous Christian generations have said) "the science of sciences and the art of arts". There are very few things that are as deep, beautiful and life-changing things as prayer. We are not just meant to pray from time to time - we are meant to pray without ceasing, our whole life is meant to become prayer, a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Praying is hard for us, because it asks humility and faith, but these are not strong in us (least in me, for I'm first of sinners). I was born-again last April like a week after my 28th birthday. Had to let myself fall hard, then in that moment I knew it was time to let the lord into my life. When I bent the knee and forfeit my life and all my possessions to him and asked for wisdom I felt this amazing sense of warmth throughout my entire body like I was being wrapped with something, every hair on my body stood up, I knew it was the holy spirit. Never done drugs, never drank enough to get drunk, so I was completely sober. It was amazing and the lord has been guiding me ever since. I now feel so humble and at peace, I'm able to show love and love in general 100 times more than what I was capable of. Through the good news, prayer, trying to walk through the narrow gate (though I sometimes stumble), I feel like I am a new creation, I see him in all things even in the air I breathe what an amazing joyful gift. Praise the lord at how blessed we are that he chose us. Let us pray and hope that all will realize that the lord is the way the truth and the life. Great video and god bless.

For your enjoyment I will share how powerful prayer is when you have faith in the Lord. I was homeless living in Ohio in December, and I knew that the worst weather was yet to come. I had a job that I worked, and I asked my manager to transfer my credentials to another store in Dallas, TX. I had never been there, and the climate was a whole lot warmer than Ohio. Long story-short, I had a lot of problems in Dallas, and I learned a lot about homelessness, and the plight of people. Never before had I seen a rich city reject so many. It was Christmas 2016, and as I was walking toward my camp, I was so hungry. This was about 2AM in the morning local time in the business district of Dallas. I prayed to the Lord for food, simply. In another block or so in the dead center of the street was a large family bag of Ruffles Sour Cream & Onion potato chips, lying in the turn lane. Note, that the business district at xmas was like a cold ghost town. This bag of food helped me endure for the mission that I endured there. I praised God that prayer works, when a person has faith in Jesus.
I dont expect God to answer all my prayers, I know that things will happen in God's timing.
Praying for healing for years and knowing that God would heal me in his time....many years of medical issues I am finally building my life back, and putting God and his plan are in the forefront of my mind.
Ive asked for a way to make it out of all the rough situations and HE always gives me a path forward.
The Lord has blessed me with a second chance at life, i almost died of sepsis, bloodloss and liver failer. Had 2 more surgeries to get my body fixed and the Lord has blessed me and Im still trying to understand why God spared my life, i dont feel like i deserved the blessing once i got home from the hospital, i stuggle sometimes wondering why i am still here.
God obviously has a plan for my life, it really changed how i percieve everything about life....now its HIS goal that im marching too.

Ask Him now, whats stopping you? Sometimes when we feel God doesn’t hear us, most of the time is because He’s preparing an answer for us in a way only you will understand it. Sometimes He might be preparing you for the thing you prayed for. Many times He might be waiting for you to be VERY honest with Him. I think you have the right poster with this. Jesus loves you and wants you to trust Him. Even when you feel like He isn’t around remember that He’s omnipresent and the Holy Spirit is in you 💖 Lastly, ALWAYS acknowledge that sin can get between our relationship with God. He loves us and wants us to hear you. I ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that He would show you He hears you with specific and loving confirmations so that your zeal would not fail, and that your joy in Him may be full. Praying has always been a tough for me to understand the format, this has helped a bit. And most days I’ll talk to God periodically throughout my day. Not really a prayer, but if I’m at work, I’ll literally talk to God in my head like he’s my best friend lol. Especially if I’m stressed and will tend to ramble a bit.

God speaks to me daily through your channel at a time when I have walked in the wilderness for too many years. I start my day by listening to your channel on my drive to work. A lot of times I always feel like I am having trouble with prayer because I feel like I have prayed several times and God hasn't answered my prayers so maybe I'm not praying effectively but there have been other times where I do pray and he answers me where maybe I do pray both effectively and with faith or maybe he answers me because it's something that's in his will and he's choosing to answer my prayers because it's for something in his will vs not in his will I don't know. Also, I didn't think people prayed for 6 hours or tell themselves "I'm going to pray for people when I get home" and then they forget and don't pray at all because I pray almost all the time to God whether it's effectively or not and praise the Lord he mostly answers me, and praise the Lord I get to pray to him and he gets to help me out whenever I choose to pray to him amen! 🙏🙏🏻

I tend to overcomplicate things all the time, even when trying to talk to God. This helped me keep things simple when praying for my needs. I'd love to learn more about the Lord's Prayer, where it originated and how it came to be.
Lord's Prayer follows 100% the model of common Jewish prayers. It starts with doxology ("Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your name") then comes requests or thanksgiving or praise (or these all), and finally it ends to the doxology ("For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever"). Very same pattern is seen also in the book of Psalms (which is technically the prayer book and was largely used in the Church). Ciao! I have somehow tried to bring together zen meditation (which I used to practice before coming back to the Lord) and Christian prayer in my own way. I have come to the point that I don’t really ask anything anymore but simply contemplate. I feel the need to taste that sweetness of simply being there with the Father and rest in his harms. Then I use to conclude with the Heavenly Father (Padre Nostro, as we use to say in Italy) to honor the teaching, then my favorite psalm and I am done. When I get inspired I use to talk but just like talking to a friend. Blessings
Experiencing God's mercy and living before His presence is what we should seek, even so that our entire life should become prayer. But I'm not sure if that can be done by bringing together zen meditation and Christian prayer (I don't intend to be judgmental, but by mixing Pagan things to Christian prayer one is at risk of prelest, especially if one is "fantasizing"/envisioning which shouldn't be done in prayer) when there is already the 2000-year Christian tradition for the very same thing. Also, prayer is not just about making requests, but also praising and thanksgiving. When we abide in God, we are filled with joy and peace. And when the soul overflows, this joy and awe comes naturally out as praying and singing... no wonder if angels in Heaven praise Lord our God 24/7.
Totally agree. So much so that, being zen meditation object-less in its essence, I felt the need to overcome that emptiness and come back to my Catholic education. Nonetheless I found the technique of detaching from constant mental flow to be part of the Christian mysticism as well. That is the only feature I kept. Much love, Davide

I have to say this is a helpful video for people who are close to Jesus but if your someone who is addicted to secret sin; some desperate prayers will have to be made. There are kinds of prayers that won’t do much. Yes she has her way of praying but if I’m honest praying in tongues or prayer language will give you dominion, deliver and wake you up. In her case this may not be as necessary because she is actively serving the Lord.

I prayed about that woman several years ago. I was in love with her and we were both Christians. I was absolutely convinced she was gonna be my wife. Wasn't it biblical to pray about her? After all, she was a Christian and I was a Christian too. I think it wouldn't have been biblical if the girl wasn't Christian, but she was. The first day I came to that church, I noticed her. However, I was obviously in love with the wrong person, even if both of us were Christians. Several years later, she's married and has several children and I am still single and lonely 😄 But maybe that's what the Lord wants for me and maybe it won't always be like that. I absolutely don't know. Maybe the best is yet to come.

i have also many prayers that have been answered but before i start to pray i always confess my sins to God and then i will go ahead with the prayer. yes you dont need to spend alot of time to ask and to thank God for his presence in your life. i usually spent 5-15 mins and i everything that i need is condensed in that timeslot.

I do that a lot and I find it way easier to pray that way. we also need to spend some quiet time to hear the Spirit. and don't neglect 'mental images' that pop up during prayer time. they tend to be visions (though, not to be confused with hounding oppressive images. those can come too - that's where holy living comes in.) it's good to write things down too. it's very easy to overlook and forget much of what God tells us during prayer time otherwise
The Holy Spirit led me here and you spoke what the Spirit wanted me to know. I truly needed to hear and learn this as God is calling me to have faith in Him and trust instead of continuing to live my life in fear, doubt, anxiety, and ignorance of His will for my life. Now I know for sure what God wants me to do in my suffering circumstances is trust in who he is and ask him for more faith since my spirit is broken.

In this text, the "you" is all inclusive. This is not a prayer for an individual, but when two or more are gathered in His Name.

Single prayer is what I learned to call the "daily walk and conversation" through Ruach haQodesh.
I actually hear a small voice in my intuition, but I have known others who see words instead.
If you believe it is possible to actually hear a voice, as 'Eliyahuw did, then it will become your own "daily walk and conversation" through Ruach haQodesh.

Faith is a gift that God doesn't always give.
A very insightful talk. Thank you for taking the time to do this! I'm still re-learning how to pray well. I have to back up alot and realize when I'm just rattling off my wants, and just ask Him what He wishes for me instead of treating him like Santa Clause. I find it helpful to pause alot in reverence and just listen. I don't typically hear any answer right then. but I feel it's important to show Him I'm listening, as in a conversation and not just a one way collection of thoughts. I look at it as though I'm speaking to a respected human Elder. I wouldn't walk up and say the same thing over and over, because that would be bizarre lol.

I guess one question I have is how do you deal with listening to God in prayer. Because I often feel like I'm just waiting in silence or I'm arguing with myself. I guess I just want to know what your experience is with listening to God.

Later I read Acts chapter 12. The power of prayer is real!!! God loves us so much! He literally proved it by sending down his perfect son Jesus Christ! He did this while we were still sinners. Jesus lead a wonderful life! And was unfortunately brutally tortured and hung on a cross. However it was all about Gods amazing plan! Jesus rose from the dead! (I’m not kidding! Their was many eye witnesses!) Now our debt has been paid! All we have to do is receive that gift!

I don't think prayer should be seen in terms of "effectiveness", but in terms of comunion, because the Father knows already everything we need.

Prayer is simple, and as natural and crucial for the soul as breathing is for the body. Yet, at the same time it is truly (as many previous Christian generations have said) "the science of sciences and the art of arts". There are very few things that are as deep, beautiful and life-changing things as prayer. We are not just meant to pray from time to time - we are meant to pray without ceasing, our whole life is meant to become prayer, a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Praying is hard for us, because it asks humility and faith, but these are not strong in us (least in me, for I'm first of sinners). But by God's mercy, praying will teach us humility and faith. *_O Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on us and save us sinners!_*
