And how was the experience of driving with Weber over the Pierburg ?
The driving experience is good. What I noticed is the cold start it starts much better, the car starts up very well in both cold and hot . With Pierburge I had starting problems more on cold, but I was having problems with the cold start system on the Pierburg .
But what I found best is the admission sound, when the second carburetor butterfly opens, it has a more aggressive and more captivating motor sound .
Isnt this the same weber 32/34 that was also sold as ford sierra 1.6. Replacement carb?
Yes, the Weber 32/34 I think is always the same, you can have another type of jets to make the mixture more or less rich. Depending on the car it is mounted on. But the carburetor itself I think is always the same .

Hi, hopefully you can answer a question I have? I've just done this conversion on my Scirocco mk2 and I have the 1 wire left I'm not sure that should re connect? As you look over the engine it's the wire with a red cover over it on the right of the new fitted webber, I believe it was for the auto choke system? Does this connect back up anywhere? Cheers Tom
Hello . Sorry for the late answer. In the old Pierburg carburettor we have two plugs that disconnect and a two wire with terminal . As you can see in the video in the minute : 3:30 . The two sockets are to be turned off , because the Weber carburetor does not use these ports . But the other two wires must be connected, the one that tightens with a screw is the ground wire , and the other is the one for feeding the carburetor heating part. Heating element part that has to be used from the old carburetor as you can see from the minute: 9:30 . You can see the assembly of the ground cable from the minute : 17:40 . And the heating element is right after from the minute : 18:18 .

I have old opel car from the 80s so Im not shure wuld that adapter kit fit to me 2E3 carburetor???

What adjustments or final tuning is necessary after installing the weber carb... I.e. After driving
The adjustments that need to be made are just theidle speed and CO2 level .

Boa tarde Sr.Marco gostaria de saber onde encontro o parafuso da mistura neste carburador,pois tenho a mistura muito rica encontro o do ralenti mas o outro nao faco ideia onde esteja
Boas . Desculpe a demora na resposta. O parafuso de afinação da mistura, CO2 fica do lado esquerdo do Carburador , lado contrario do acelerador . Num orifício que fica junto a base do carburador .
Franchement au top bon tuto. Pour ceux qui parle pas portugais c'est pas bien difficile de comprendre juste vous visualisez bien ce qu'il fait et c'est parfait. Juste le petit teton du cable d'accélérateur a couper et c'est parfait.

Hi, awesome video really congratulations. I had already bought the same weber and Im about to do the swap but I saw you bought a flange. Is the flange really neccesary to replace? Thank you!
Yes, the flange is really necessary, because the Carburetor is not Plu and Play in terms of tightening holes. The flange is used to tighten the Carburetor in the intake manifold.
@@MarcoPereiraFerramenta-Online bought the flange but will take 30 days to get here (chile). Gonna swap the carb tomorrow and use the old flange until the new one comes. Been looking all the vids of the mk1 proyect, awesome. Mine is from 1990 but has only 60.000kms..dad used to use it only for summers. Keep uploading videos!

Sim já pensei nisso, e tenho essa ideia, ainda não tive nem tempo nem oportunidade para isso, eu quero mostrar a afinação em máquina, e se possível até num banco de potência, ver as diferenças. Só que não sai barato e tenho pouca disponibilidade.

Obrigado. Este kit é para 1.6, mas também à para 1.8, o kit é igual só tem é giglers diferentes por causa dos débitos de ar e combustível.
Hola hermano. Acaba de instalar ese Carbajal en mi jeta gu 1800. Mi pregunta es cuál es el consumo de combustible que debe ser ? A mi me sale algo de 20 km por galón en la ciudad. No he probado aún en la carretera. Gracias
Hola, en mi Golf Cabriolet con el motor 1.6l después de instalar este carburador y ajustarlo, y puedo promediar entre 8-10 l por cada 100 km, dependiendo de cómo conduzca.
Se poate pune pe motor 18 merita investiția funcționează, bine!
Olá! Interessante achar um conteúdo em português do Weber DTML, basicamente só havia visto informações em inglês. Aqui no Brasil usamos muito, mas o nome do carburador foi mudado pra Weber460 e eles possuem sufixos de acordo com o tamanho dos venturis.
Foi usado em diversas marcas, principalmente na Ford (tenho um Ford Del Rey 1984 com motor Renault 1.6 do Renault 12) que usou na linha Del Rey, Corcel (carro que deu origem ao Del Rey), Belina (idem), Pampa (picape do Corcel), Escort.
Alguns Volkswagens usaram o Weber460, mas só quando a Volks se uniu a Ford brasileira, pois usavam motores Fords. Os motores 100% VW, não tiveram esse carburador.
Chevrolet usou no Monza (Opel Ascona), Chevette (Opel Kadett). Porém, não temos deles novos fabricados pela Weber, só temos modelos antigos restaurados.

Hi . This carburetor is practically just assemble and ride, the kit brings the whole material to the assembly without much difficulty. But you always have to tune the idling speed and CO gases values .
Parabéns pelo vídeo explicativo. Depois de vê-lo, fui encorajado a fazer a mudança de pierburg para weber em meu mk1 cabrio 1.6. Estou com um problema, a parte que você retira do pierburg no minuto 10:03 do vídeo, no meu antigo carburador não tem cabo nessa parte. Como posso consertar isso? Agradeceria se alguém pudesse me explicar como fazer. Desde já, obrigado. Desculpe pela tradução.
Olá . Essa peça é tipo um resistência para aquecer o carburador, e principalmente em pais de temperaturas muito frias ajuda no arranque a frio . Em pais mais quentes isso quase não faz falta .

Estou a fazer esta aplicação mas no meu caso a ponta do cabo do acelerador bate no elemento de vácuo do carburador, fazendo com que fique acelerado. Estou a fazer algo de errado?
Não, isso depende do tipo de cabo de acelerador, a um tipo que tem que cortar um pouco a cabeça do cabo, porque a uns que tem um ponta na cabeça do cabo, é só cortar essa ponta .

Cuál es tu motor? El mio es el 1.6 con el codigo de motor RE . Y monté las bujías Beru con la referencia: 14GH - 8DTURX . Si me dices cual es tu código de motor puedo ver las referencias de las distintas marcas

How much extra power can it be expected to get from this Weber? :-)
In terms of power, I can't tell you if it was better or not, I measured the car on a Dyno before changing the carburettor, but I never had a chance to measure it afterwards. I'll measure again and then I'll post the video here to get an idea, stay tuned to the channel. Wen riding with the car, there are no great gains in power, but in terms of noise when opening the second throttle of the carburetor, it makes a much better sound than with Pierburg. But there is not much difference in the rest.

I think so, if the engine is the 1.6 gasoline it should give.

Hola no me queda claro donde se conecta el vacío de distribuidor además mi distribuidor tiene dos entradas en la membrana de adelanto por vacío gracias
Debes ver desde el minuto 3 , que es donde explico que se quita todo el sistema de vacio del Pierburge y se conecta el avance del distribuidor directamente al tubo de vacio del servofreno donde se desconectan los tubos que van al deposito de vacio usado por el Pierburge.

Le gti non sono a carburatore, quindi non funzionerebbe, se fosse una Golf 2 a carburatore funzionerebbe, ma non una GTI .

Hello . Thanks for the comment, after I have tuned the car well I still haven't been able to test it on a Dyno.
But right after I mounted it and it wasn't in tune it gave more or less the same HP . But now, after tuning it, I haven't measured it again, but I notice a big difference in the car, it always starts well both cold and hot, and I manage to make good consumption.

@@ivailo89 I think not . My engine has the RE code with catalytic converter, originally it should have 72HP . I measured when I bought the used car already with more than 200k km only had 60hp, as you can see in this video .

Now after having assembled the Weber Carburetor, I have done a good review and tuned it I believe it has a return to the 70hp - 75hp maybe .

@@carlosmonteiro6593 Estes carros não tem retorno de combustível, só tem um tubo de alimentação. Estes carros tem tipo um depósito que armazena a pressão e fazem retorno por esse depósito, e não no Carburador.
@@MarcoPereiraFerramenta-Online ok ok... Eu perguntei-lhe isto porque apliquei um mas num Jetta mkII 1.3 e este tem retorno de combustível. Tive de usar a peça do Pierburg original. Logo na primeira vez que demos à chave, o "roncar" dele nada tinha a ver com o Pierburg original...! Muito bom! :)
@@carlosmonteiro6593 Nos 1.6 só tem mesmo uma peça tipo deposito de pressão com trés ligações e só uma dessas ligações é que vem para o carburador, as outras é entrada e retorno nessa proria peça .

E que eu tenho um cabrio e gostaria de saber se VC tem o carburador antigo e que o meu foi a vida e não consigo arranjar outro se VC tivesse o antigo já me desenrascava
Eu pensei que estava a falar do Weber se ainda o tinha montado. O antigo o Pierburg tenho, mas não está para venda.
