- In Part 2 of this special edition of If Horses Were People, we wondered what life would be like if horses were people on show day. Sarah and Sara take on putting ribbons on bridles, different show ground behaviors, trying to keep a horse hydrated, and more!
As much as we love our horses, some of their behavior is a little...weird. Imagine if your best friend or co-worker acted like that? at one of my shows i was in a line up and the judge was right in front of me and my horses best friend was in the back and they started calling out to eachother and i the judge couldn't stop laughing
When she got out of the truck and neighed I started crying laughing!

Last show I was at, my horse peed at the end of our dressage test, right on centerline at x in front of the judge. For like a minute straight
I’m so sorry I laughed so hard at this this is so funny. If it makes you feel better one dressage test my horse pooped during the canter and scared himself with his own poop.

Erin Meany My mini gelding shows very well...but when we’re standing still in that nice soft arena footing, the angels sing and he knows that it’s time to roll! 😂 Especially when we’re in the lineup for the driving class. I’m trying to look proper while the judge is inspecting the horses and my little guy is doing the ‘gotta roll dance!!’
I just thought “Can you imagine if we showed humans like we did horses?”

My gelding isn’t shy about peeing. He’s peed at the in gate at a show, and also in a line up getting feedback from a judge. I had someone tell me he was being hot because he had to pee and I just laughed at them 😂
this whole "if horses were people" series makes me wonder...

Last dressage show I was at, my mare - who mind you has had many a ribbon put on her face over the years - when I went to put our reserve ribbon on for a quick photo op, completely flipped the heck out, backed up about fifty yards across the parking area into someone else's trailer and horses tied on it. And didn't stop backing up until I was able to run up and wrench the demonic ribbon from her bridle 😂 🤦♀️
Luckily for me the girls with the trailer laughed at my apology and said, "oh, it's okay, we have thoroughbreds, we understand" 🙈🐎
at my x halt salute my horse itched his leg for a solid 30 seconds 🤦♀️

I own a lovely white mare. She performs extremely well and eagerly, and she is very nice to look at. And she farts like a trombone, and with comedic timing. XD

I am laughing so hard i had to pause the video to catch my breath and grab my daughters to come watch with me....my girls are horse rescuers horse advocates horses in their previous lives they gallop like horses they are horse whisperers my 3rd born child in texas once got up a team of friends to rescue 2 horses abandoned put them in a ranch she was managing and gave up her own rent and her apartment to pay for vet and farrier and high quality supplements grain food and medications new brushes and the list goes on....she didnt come forth with this news i found out by calling her friends to go check and here she was living in the stables and her car eating peanut butter to live on and sleeping in the stalls with whichever mare was in crisis because they had been so neglected...she didnt want to tell me because she knew i would send money and funny thing is, i had my cell phone and my gas shut off and my internet because i had helped 2 women flee their physically abusive men. So i told her its in our hearts to answer what the good Lord puts in front of us Kate. Nothing we can do to change our hearts and who would want to ever have a heart so cold that you could see anyone any living being suffer and have a heart so cold you did nothing to end that suffering if you have any way at all to help those who cannot otherwise help themselves..im grateful for our helpful hearts we may not have one nickel to rub against the other but when it comes to being kind and having love in our hearts we are the richest people we know.
