Thanks for this video! Think Mod Shop a great option. Hardtail is a BIG Plus for me. Do the bodies and necks seem to be same quality as the Am Pro II series (versus like Performer, old Highway 1, etc.) Playing around with the builder now.
I keep giving them feedback whenever possible that I would be happy to buy a MS fender when they start offering lacquer finishes . I love a lot of the choices they offer, but I don’t really feel like spending 2K or up without having control over what the finish is!
Good video I don’t have a mod strat but I do have an American professional 2 thinline in an ash body that plays and sounds fantastic i locked my trem down with 2 extra springs quality on mine is very good I run it through a Marshall JTM studio 20 combo couple pedals but I try to keep it simple I really liked the color of yours I thot it was great
I bought a guitar from Guitar Center and it was a beautiful Sunburst color HSS Elite Strat with the PASSING LANE button. The options offered in the MOD shop are pathetic!!
The custom shop have so many options and I haven’t tried them all. Their noiseless pickups are good if you are into that. Otherwise I would go for a set of 60’s but those are not modern.
Hi Aaron I have a few questions I live in the uk not sure if you do but just wondering, it says it takes 8-10 weeks to get to you, for you how long did it take and also do you have to pay import tax and all those sorts of things
@@aaronshortmusic thanks for replying, if it takes on average 4 weeks in the us o don’t imagine it would take an extra 4-6 weeks here, and I imagine they are made in a factory in Europe somewhere rather than the us.
Right, sofa surfing guitar for well behaving regularly tax paying consumers :) Meh. I go for an old Japanese Strat from the 1970-80s and they are 1)cheaper 2) not losing value 3) and the miracle of REAL old wood: they sound amazing compared to these new babies. Greco, Fernandes, Tokai, Yamaha - those are the yummy guitars, and.. Japanese are the masters of wood for long centuries..

That's such a nice colour scheme on a Strat. Love the hardtail option too
Thanks me too!!
Great sound and looks amazing.
Dude, you got a color scheme that’s available as a standard model.
Yes it’s my favorite.
It's a hardtail strat
recessed heel, stainless steel frets and a compound radius are the options i needed! i also would have went hardtail myself btw!
Yes if only they did those things!
I like an Ultra 2 and its more expensive than a Mod Shop special, Im severely tempted.
It’s worth checking out.

I ordered a tele from the Modshop about a year ago, and it is a nice body imo. The body was routed for a humbucker and a middle pickup.
Yes I would say everything is on par with the American Pro 2 guitars.

It would be great if there were even more options. I want stainless steel frets as an option.

Why? If you want more options you go to the custom shop.
hello! what pickups would you recommend from the fender custom shop to have a modern sound and different from the ones from my gibson lp classic?

@@jmdyt3626 I would ask Fender. Please let us know if you get info on that.

No

We always pay extra for the name/brand. As long as we are happy with the product I think it’s fine.
