Blue Heron Grooming

This blue heron was perched in a tree behind my house. It was grooming itself and looking for crayfish in the stream below.
I grabbed my tripod and set about filming it with my Nikon P90. This camera has an excellent zoom and takes really nice still pictures. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with it's video capabilities. Use of zoom is very limited while filming. If you want to zoom right in close you have to do it before you hit record. It films in 640 by 480 @ 30 fps.
