    Someone in Branson explain the point of this show to me. I can't seem to understand it. Like why would you have a business playing all inoffensive cover songs in a theater in the middle of nowhere? Why not write original music and take it on tour? Or even if you can't do that, why not set up a residence in Las Vegas or Reno? Why as a musician would you deliberately paint yourself into a corner like this, and play the same songs over and over again for the rest if your life? At the very least why would you keep the second worst haircut in the world?

    Weird because Shoji Tabuchi's bio states he came to america around 1968 (and I believe this video was made in the mid 90s). And for someone who has been in the country for THAT long, he speaks such a broken english one has to wonder if he has a learning disability. After 20 years in the country you ARE fluent.

    • @PinoyHyungParkNguyen
      @PinoyHyungParkNguyen 10 лет назад +4

      Actually, it's even stranger when I know people who've become fluent after 10, sometimes only 2 years. It seems like he's playing the broken English-accent to play off the novelty, otherwise people would see, I don't know, an average Jake Shimabukuro or whatever.
      I think Shoji really knows his audience though.

    • @ricarleite
      @ricarleite 9 лет назад +1

      chefaopt I am not an american. I'm from Brazil. And as a coincidence, I speak japanese.

    • @akkalat85
      @akkalat85 9 лет назад +4

      +ricarleite The length of time one has lived in a foreign land doesn't determine how fluent their speaking skills are...

    • @IsmailofeRegime
      @IsmailofeRegime Год назад

      @@PinoyHyungParkNguyen Yeah one of his albums is titled "Rove Retters From Shoji" and there are people who knew him and say that in private he spoke English fine and that his accent was mostly just an act.
