Interesting that they screen for the last week of school during the afternoon. So basically they have morning sessions & screen during every afternoon the last week.
Explore your options … homeschool, private and charter schools in your area. They do not always have the same age requirements. I would advise for parents to consider emotional and social development as well.
I don't "expect" them to read sentences. However, some students can. It's important to know who your high fliers are because you don't want them to be bored in class. If they can read sentences and you are focusing on "letter A" sometimes behaviors pop up due to boredom. Hope that helps 😀

I have a 4 year old, well she will be 4 February 2021 she is sooo smart she even know the 12 months of the year, can she start kindergarten early?
I know a lot of schooling is based on age. I skipped a grade because my birthday was weird. She’s sounds like she’s definitely ready for kinder.
