    • @stevecriddle
      @stevecriddle 7 лет назад +8

      Fortunately I'm not a complete beginner. I've been having weekly lessons for nearly a year with a Japanese native who also teaches Japanese at the local university. And Anki revision every day (Anki is probably the single biggest help to my managing to remember any of it). My only regret is not starting lessons sooner, as I'm in my late 40s. But it's a fascinating journey so far.

      +1 on the Japanesepod101 recommendation, their podcasts range from beginner to advanced. You can google for a recommended path, where someone took their time to review the individual seasons.
      Other than that, these conversations are really helpful. These are actual conversations with native Japanese people and simple enough for me to understand and to get more feel for the language. I wish there were more channels like this, but i'm happy that you upload these videos for us benjiro-さん.

    I am just 13 minutes in, and I've never watched this channel before, but I've subscribed. Wow! Awesome stuff that I can understand...and this is FUNNY! Without missing a beat, you turned the conversation from squirrels in Canada to ladyboys in Thailand. Then, talking about the fact that a lot of people who study Japanese are "strange". Rather than a student, it seemed like you were interviewing the teacher. And you kindly wrote words and translations on the screen as the conversation progressed!...also found in the description section! This is a great learning tool! I saw your channel and found that you haven't uploaded for a while. What you have now can keep me going for a while, but I hope you do continue with this! I'm subscribed for when you do!
