  • Bread Fruit Kabab Recipe :
    Ingredients:
    ● 1 Breadfruit
    ● 1 cup Rice flour
    ● 1/2 cup Corn flour
    ● 2 tsp Ginger (grated)
    ● 2 tsp Garlic (grated)
    ● 2 tsp Red chili powder (adjust for spice preference)
    ● 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
    ● 2 tsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
    ● Juice of 1 Lemon
    ● 1/2 tsp Hing (asafoetida)
    ● 1 tsp Garam masala
    ● 1 tsp Salt
    ● Water (as needed)
    ● 500 ml Oil (for frying)
    Method:
    ● Prepare the Breadfruit:
    Peel the breadfruit and remove the core. Cut into small pieces and soak them in water to remove excess starch. Drain well before using.
    ● Make the Kabab Mixture:
    In a bowl, combine rice flour, corn flour, ginger, garlic, garam masala, hing, red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt. Add the drained breadfruit pieces and mix well to coat them evenly. If the mixture feels dry, add a little water to achieve a bindable consistency. Let it marinate for 20-30 minutes.
    ● Fry the Kababs:
    Heat oil in a kadai or deep pan over medium flame. Once hot, gently drop the marinated breadfruit mixture into the oil, a few pieces at a time. Don't overcrowd the pan.
    ● Fry to Golden Perfection:
    Fry the kababs until golden brown and crispy from both sides. This may take about 3-4 minutes per batch.
    ● Serve & Enjoy:
    Drain the fried kababs on paper towels to remove excess oil. Garnish with chopped curry leaves and serve hot.
