Bill SB245, repealed MCL 750.22 which now makes automatic knives legal to possess and carry in Michigan. It's been in effect since October last year. Just in case anyone didn't know :)

The Kershaw leek is a good knife, I’ve had one for years and the blade hasn’t come loose at all, it keeps an edge well in even through everything I’ve put it through, and it doesn’t take up much space in a pocket or on a belt. I recommend it.
To address “Folders are better” that depends on your line of work. Folders are not sturdy enough for construction/painting work, a fixed blade such as a duct knife is much better for such things. Folders are fun, and sure they can be handy if all you’re doing is opening boxes and other lesser tasks.

The kershaw 1605CKTST - clash, may be a knife you could consider, I use this one on the daily for work, and for things around the house. Gorgeous knife, sharp, lightweight, and extremely helpful.
You should get the kershaw fraxion flipper it comes with a bunch colors my personal favorite tan and it has carbon fiber overlays

I used to hate spine locks, but I feel the same way about liner and frame as well. I’d prefer my fingers not be in the downward swing of the blade. I live on a farm. I cut myself plenty without that issue. I love the Axis and OTFs. I’m I’m gonna cut myself I’d prefer to be flipping a Balisong. Anyway, subscribed.
