09/11/01 prolly messed up their possible chances at stardom… dark music wasn’t mainstream anymore, they didn’t want that on the air. Even WWF started to gear more into the direction of kids.

I remember being at a Machine Head and Fear Factory show the week after 9/11, not much moshing, everyone seemed stunned.

@@DeathlehemWrestling it ain’t popular like it was in the late 90’s…

@@DeathlehemWrestling you obviously weren't listening to metal right after it happened or you would know this is true. especially for any bands with any sort of dark 'american' imagery, if you think flying a huge upside down american flag behind your drummer after 9/11 would fly with mainstream media i have bad news for you 😅

Put Mike Patton + Ministry/NiN and a slight touch of Korn and you have the American Head Charge.
    Their first release was epic.

Good music builds on other styles. In old-school AHC you can hear NIN (industrial), Korn (heavy, melodic and still groovy) and Mudvayne (interesting time signatures). On War of Art they developed a style that took the best from everything, they were the pinnacle of Nu-Metal and then 9/11 happened. Nothing will surpass this style for a long time. It's been almost a quarter of a century and still nothing. There are a lot of extreme bands out there but none that can blend and balance the way AHC did... you know what I mean.

obviously addiction affected them but they truly were hit harder than any other band by the heavy music fallout of 9/11. at the height of their momentum their album basically fell off the face of the earth because of its lyrics and themes. every movie, video game, pro wrestling spot they had slated pulled almost immediately. such a shame they were incredibly special

100% correct! I'm from Minnesota & have been privileged to seen them at there very beginnings & was at countless twin cities shows from First Avenue an so on to there first appearance on ozzfest in summerset Wisconsin. I truly miss what they were all about & what they added to music as a whole for that time as a band but unfortunately drug abuse & ultimately the sad passing of Chad do to cancer brought the end of a great band.

@@mattzvidz Awesome find and appreciate you uploading. Interesting seeing the band interact with each other and the hosts after too. This is incredible for the AHC die hard fans (there's still plenty).

The Guitarist with the dreads I believe is Wayne Kile if I remember. Just Incase if anyone is curious. I love the way he moves on stage and it’s highly inspirational for me.

I love this band but I'm confused why they didn't play "Just so you know" for a TV appearance? Much more radio friendly song, but I'm kind of happy they picked this song instead.
