I came here after the worst panic attack of my life last night & it sounds like we have the exact same symptoms during a panic attack - I also needed to cry out for my dad to come get me. I know this video is a year old but it helped me tons today. I feel much less alone. Thank you
God this is so relatable. I've had my sister find me half dressed and i just didn't care at the time. All that stuff goes out the window when you are so anxious. I'm so sorry you're going through this, i totally understand everything you're saying.
I’m so glad that beta blockers are working so well for you! That nauseous feeling that comes with panic attacks is my worst symptom too ☹️ I try to just take it easy for the day after a panic attack! If my body doesn’t want to do anything then I won’t do anything! But other times I will want to keep busy and that’s fine too! Whatever helps you power through the day xx
thank you so much for this video. you're so important to me on my anxiety journey because i can relate so much! i've just come off citalopram after 5 years because it wasn't working for me anymore and i have an event coming up in october that i'm absolutely terrified for. I've have diazepam to take in an urgent situation but i definitely want to try beta blockers!!
Propranalol has saved my life too! Have been taking them for 3 years now (along with good old Citalopram!) Tried not taking BB for a few days and it was horrendous however so word of caution! (probably not needed for an anxiety sufferer but hope you know what I am meaning! ;-) ) Things that work for me are guided meditation (Honest Guys), being alone, fidget marbles, reading websites which show that yes anxiety can make you feel so bad and...open and honest youtubers like yourself. Can really relate - for me I feel I've been doing well and than a P.A can make it feel like I won't even be able to make a cup of tea, but somehow we folk pull through - as you have and are doing. In terms of uni I got extra support through applying to the Disabled Students Allowance and it provided a brilliant safety net when I needed to access it. Thanks for making this video - your accent is beautiful xx
Beta blockers are amazing! I've been on one for nearly a year now and it has completely changed my life. Most of my anxiety symptoms are in my chest (palpitations ftw!) and the bb just brings them down to a level I can handle. I had sleeping problems at first too, but once I got used to them that went away - hoping the same for you!
Oh and i don't have any great advice really as I'm still suffering myself, but the best thing i do is go get my cat or be with my dog, i find just being with an animal and hearing my cat purr can take the edge off. Sometimes I'm too far gone for that to even help though
Do you know the name of these beta blockers? Your panic attacks are the exact same as mine and I always thought I was just odd and didn’t panic in the usual way if you get me. So nice to see and hear you talk about your experience and how it affects you 💗
i have the same symptoms and same phobia. it is relieving to know i’m not alone. i wish i could take stuff to help my anxiety but i don’t know how to swallow pills •_•
Thanks for sharing this I’m having a bad time of it, i get physically sick too. I wanted to ask- have you tried sertraline? If so, what was your opinion?
Emily, please hang in there. I have anxiety as well. I can't breathe with mine. With your beta blockers, can you give me the name of the drug or the name of the brand? God bless you!!
You honestly inspire me and make me so much more confident. Honestly your amazing
