As a young ref who wants to improve, I love watching these videos,I learn so much from this refs communication with the players
That's the key. Keep the communication up all game. Even if you talk to players that aren't captains. Be approachable. Tip is to give soft warnings on borderline penalties, but be stern on the obvious fouls.

You forget how tough the one referee system can be, classy communication.
Reffing really is just like you have forty 5 year olds tattling on each other and blatant denial of things they just did right in front of you lol
