I look forward to this project every year, and I'm even more excited now that I've seen this video! I've done 6x8 the past 3 years and was ready for a change this year. I thought I was going to do a Memory Dex system this year, but now you have me thinking 4x6 may be the way to go! HA! I love how your foundation pages look and all of the interactive elements!
So looking forward to the Prep Party, Product Play 3 and December Daily! Now just to be brave and see if I can bear cutting down that adorable Santa transparency like you.
Shannie The prep party is something new Ali is doing this year and it is separate from Product Play. If you go to Ali’s blog post for her Foundation Pages, there is a link at the bottom of the post to register for the prep party.
Just a thought... the number 8 (that you put stars on) it would look cool to make the backside of the #8 into a snowman (it has the shape of a snowman).
Wonderful foundation pages. I've never done a Product Play class before, but it looks like it would be really fun. I'll have to sign up soon. November 5th will be here before we know it. :)
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing =) Do you plan to interview your family this year and include their responses? When you look back from over the years, which questions are you most glad you asked your family, especially your children?
Hi! I don't plan to do that this year (at least I don't plan to right now but I reserve the right to change my mind). I always love asking them what they are thankful for right now + maybe a favorite book - that would be fun.
I see what you mean with having the "restrictions" of the pages that are already set up. I'm thinking that might work better for me then the willy-nilly style I've done it in the past, I don't do well with too many possibilities. Should I mention that I have about 5 December albums still not done? Oops, I guess I just did. Sigh. Anyway, I always looks forward to seeing your album every year! :D
I'm using a traditional 6x8 album. will u show us how u would translate a 4x6 to a 6x8? I love DD and a little disappointed you're not using a 6x8 album.
Hi! I totally believe in your ability to translate these 4x6 pages to 6x8 pages - you can do it - just think of these as 1/2 the size and adjust to fit your own personal stories! In the Product Play 3 workshop I will be including sketches for the pages I made for that workshop for 6x8 pages.
This is my very first year doing a December Daily project. I’m so excited! There are so many ideas while I’m trying to create foundation pages, any tips on creating them without becoming overwhelmed?
Awesome! Love that you are embarking on this project! Have you checked out my Storytelling With December Daily® workshop: www.aliedwards.com/shop/classes/storytelling-with-december-daily-self-paced? It's a deeper dive into establishing why you want to do this project and how to move forward. My biggest tip is to stick to one story per day and always remember that you don't have to include every story or photo related to Christmas. It's the sum of all the stories in the album vs. any single story that is so magic.
Great foundation pages! Love all the plastic pages and transparencies.
I'll be honest I thought the 4x6 would be way to small. But as usual you taught me so much. Great set up.
Thanks Julie :). I'm excited to be working in this size + to add my photos and stories.
Ali I was so excited to see this and once again your album is beautiful. Bring on December
Thank you!

It feels really fun to mix it up!

Linda Nicholson is the prep party part of product play? I’m considering purchasing the class as I never had the chance before.
