I vote for the Reason Why behind the transparency. I love the pop of red, especially with the red inside cover of the album. I also wanted to say I’m so excited for your December Daily videos again. I went back and rewatched all of your old ones (a few times) and they’ve helped get me excited for the project this year. One thing especially inspired me. When you used “A thrill of hope, a weary world rejoices” on a transparency, it really made me stop and think about the meaning of those lyrics. It will be a hard holiday season for me since I just lost my dad and it has helped me to stop and think about what those words mean. I’m going to be scraplifting that idea for my opening to my album and talking about having hope in the holidays even when things seem bad. Thank you again
Yes! I've sang that song so many times, but it wasn't until I wrote it out that i really read them. I am sorry for your loss, but love that you will focus on hope. I hope it turns out to be a meaningful Christmas. Thank you so much for being here!
Oh my gosh. Love all of this. Laminator transparency page is genius. I find that stripe paper funny to look at too lol but I do love it backing the snowflake but I equally like your reason why popping through. I know it’s no help haha but both are stunning while being simple too. ❤️❤️❤️
My vote is for the striped paper behind the title page. I love how that stunning first page stands alone and I also really like the circle on the other side next to your reason why. TFS! -Shari
I prefer the stripe behind the snowflake. The glitter and snowflake look lost to me without the stripe backing. Definitely going to use my laminator more in my 2019 book. As always, thank you for the beautiful inspiration.
Your album is looking beautiful already! Can't wait to see the rest. My vote is for the striped paper behind the snowflake. I love the stripes with the stripey edge of the album showing behind it!
Gorgeous! I love your honesty about struggling to find joy. Daily stresses make it so hard sometimes! I like seeing your reason why and The red Joy behind the smoke flake acetate page.
Stripped paper always messes with my eyes. I remember when I was little and I noticed this I thought there was something wrong with my vision. I love the transparency over the stripped paper. So pretty!
Thank you for the tip about using glitter inside the laminated sheet!! I can't get many pretty acetate sheets here to use for my December daily, so that will be perfect :) Thank you!! // Matilda
It's beautiful either way, but my vote would be for the clear acetate over the reason why. It looks fabulous, but I'd most likely want to cover the back of the chipboard element (but I am a bit persnickity sometimes!) The circle embellishment would look amazing on the album spine! x
Such a pretty start to your album! I prefer the see through to the Joy + Reason Why page, but I’m sure you’ll make up your mind on your own in the end...
Gorgeous, as always! Thank you so much for showing the process for making the glittery transparency. I’m going to try that! And the striped paper totally messes with my eyes, too. You’re not alone in that.
It’s so weird! Covering it up definitely helps. Jenn Schow also showed how to do the laminating during ALi Edwards Prep party. You can see more example there too!
Thank you! I only got to see the first hour of the prep party but will go through it this weekend. I’m so excited! And as for the stripes - it’s really trippy when someone wears stripes in that pattern. I almost can’t look away!
Oh! And Amy, is there any chance that you might have time to do a selfie tutorial video this year? No worries if not, but just had to ask because your DSLR selfies inspire me so much and I drool over your DD selfies each year. ❤️
Dear Amy, so ecxited about your beautiful artwork, now the season has begun for me :) I would prefer the stripes behind the snowflake, because you can see the sparkling flakes better and the snowflakes pops out. The reason why page would be nice at the back of the stripes paper, also you save some space for other little treasures, I am sure the little album will get very bukly ( I am working on the same one *emojimonkeyeyesclosed ). Happy Scrappy Holidays and a lot of joy :)
Yes i figured that out when i took the photos 🤣. There is a chipboard in the kit this year that look the exact same as last year except the date. I replaced it. Check out the photos at the beginning of video.
I like the stripe. While I like that your reason why is Joy and you can see the word Joy on the see through - I think that having the see through makes my eye focus on the see through elements and not your beautiful snowflake cover page.
I love seeing the reason why behind your snowflake. It is a bit cozier, to me, than the stripe.
I vote for the Reason Why behind the transparency. I love the pop of red, especially with the red inside cover of the album.

I love the see through look with the word “joy” visible behind the snowflake! Looks great!
I like the stripe page behind the snowflake.
I like the joy paper behind the snowflake.
I like your reason why directly behind the snowflake more than with the stripes
If your 2019 goal was to 'see the joy', you have to go with the transparency so you can literally see it. Goal accomplished! :)
Great point 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I really like seeing through the clear cover sheet to see the red JOY peeking through!
I know right! That’s what I’m struggling with.
Love seeing the joy behind the transparency. I love red, white, and gold together!
So my vote is to put the leather circle on the front snowflake since it is the correct year. Can’t wait to see your pages!
I like both options, but I feel the snowflake stands out more if you keep the striped sheet behind it.
I like the stripes! This album is so beautiful and something I can work with my granddaughters to make.
Great to see, that was me sharing Jennifer's video in the Dec Daily group, 😀! I like the stripes behind the transparency
Awesome! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. So cool!
Oh my gosh. Love all of this. Laminator transparency page is genius. I find that stripe paper funny to look at too lol but I do love it backing the snowflake but I equally like your reason why popping through. I know it’s no help haha but both are stunning while being simple too. ❤️❤️❤️
I know. When I saw Jennifer McGuires video I wanted to laminate everything. haha. So fun. Thank you!
I like the Joy showing through the transparency
Love both versions but the stripe is very appealing to me.
Pretty sweet snowflakes. Love your crafts.
Love this - I love seeing straight through to the reason why page - I love the joy peaking through
Ya i love the pop of red. This is why I’m struggling. I like both. 🤣
When i saw your post on instagram, i loved the stripes. But now i‘m team-reason-why-seethrough 🤗
I like the striped paper, but either way is really nice. Love the little gold star on the tree.
Thanks!
I love it both ways but my fav is the stripped paper.
I like both but am leaning towards the stripes behind the transparency. I can't wait to see more of your album
I like the striped paper with the leather circle on the back the best of the two. Love the simplicity of your album.
I love both but I think I like the see through to your reasons why a bit more.
I like seeing through to your reason why. It just adds interest. Thanks for sharing!
My vote is for the striped paper behind the title page. I love how that stunning first page stands alone and I also really like the circle on the other side next to your reason why. TFS! -Shari
without the pattern paper. great idea about your reason why. i hope we can manipulate the letters. i would really like to do this too.
See through! I’m also glad you noticed the 2018. I’ve done that myself. I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks! I so surprised I did. The type is tiny.
Like the striped paper.
So beautiful! I really love the look of the striped paper peeking behind the snowflake😊
Thanks!
I like both but I’m leaning towards see through to the reason why.
I vote the Joy page behind the snowflake page. Maybe use the leather embellishment on the front inside cover?!
I prefer the stripe behind the snowflake. The glitter and snowflake look lost to me without the stripe backing. Definitely going to use my laminator more in my 2019 book. As always, thank you for the beautiful inspiration.
Thank you!
My vote is for the striped paper and the leather circle.
I like how it looks with joy showing through 😊
I love this and for me I prefer to see the word Joy but the other is good too !
Your album is looking beautiful already! Can't wait to see the rest. My vote is for the striped paper behind the snowflake. I love the stripes with the stripey edge of the album showing behind it!
Thank you ☺️
beautiful as always! i like the stripe :) family photo could be beside the reason why with the green circle on it!
Great idea!
Yup that paper totally does something to my eyes too!
Haha it’s so weird!
Gorgeous! I love your honesty about struggling to find joy. Daily stresses make it so hard sometimes! I like seeing your reason why and The red Joy behind the smoke flake acetate page.
Thanks 😍
Stripped paper always messes with my eyes. I remember when I was little and I noticed this I thought there was something wrong with my vision. I love the transparency over the stripped paper. So pretty!
It's so weird. Thanks!
This happens to me too So strange
Great work! (The stripes get to me too.)
Love this so far, I like it with the striped paper it has a very clean look for your title page. Can’t wait to see the rest of your dd pages
Thank you for the tip about using glitter inside the laminated sheet!! I can't get many pretty acetate sheets here to use for my December daily, so that will be perfect :) Thank you!! // Matilda
I really like it with the "Joy" page peaking through. You can find another place for the leather circle :)
I vote for the reason why showing behind . Love this rethinking my choice of album size .
Love this and now i’m making also a page with the laminator and sparkels.
Awesome!! Thank you!
It's beautiful either way, but my vote would be for the clear acetate over the reason why. It looks fabulous, but I'd most likely want to cover the back of the chipboard element (but I am a bit persnickity sometimes!) The circle embellishment would look amazing on the album spine! x
It totally would. thanks!
This is awesome! I love seeing through the laminated page to your reasons why page. Thanks for sharing!
Such a pretty start to your album! I prefer the see through to the Joy + Reason Why page, but I’m sure you’ll make up your mind on your own in the end...
Haha you'd be surprised, but yes i will need to decided at some point. ;) Thanks!
And thank you ☺️
Did the same with all the transparencies for my DD last year and I was so happy with
So cool!
Dear Amy, so ecxited about your beautiful artwork, now the season has begun for me :) I would prefer the stripes behind the snowflake, because you can see the sparkling flakes better and the snowflakes pops out. Stripe paper, although both are beautiful! Thanks for sharing all the wonderful tips!!
Thanks!
Gorgeous! The first chipboard says 2018 just FYI
Yes i figured that out when i took the photos 🤣. There is a chipboard in the kit this year that look the exact same as last year except the date. I replaced it. Check out the photos at the beginning of video.
Aww great idea, thank you for sharing :)
Amy, I like the see through effect and that striped paper is a bit hard on the eyes!
I like it better without the pattern paper 🥰
I love the striped paper but it totally does something weird to my eyes too. If I look too long I feel dizzy.
Yes! It's so weird.
I like the stripe. While I like that your reason why is Joy and you can see the word Joy on the see through - I think that having the see through makes my eye focus on the see through elements and not your beautiful snowflake cover page.
Love it.. and love the see through best!
Thanks!
nice! I prefer it with the stripes. :-)
Thanks!
Love it without the pattern paper.
I really like with the stripped paper. But, if it please you without, it’s beautiful too. Have a nice day.
Thanks!
Love it
Beautiful 💕💕
Thank you ☺️
i vote for patterned paper.
