You are the person I wished to become when I was studying electronics engineering in university. Now I'm an electronics engineer stuck in a software development job...
I have the Monotron Delay and Duo. Both are amazing tiny synths, so much fun! I wish they had midi built in. I've never soldered succesfully. I burned myself pretty badly the one time I tried. I'm afraid of wrecking the synth but this is cool to watch.
Would love to see this demonstrated with the delay. The monitor on delay has a really beautiful and dusty delay that is precious. It’s just begging to be hacked.
Of Korg monotron duo or Korg monotron duo delay will do the same thing? Why all the examples made on Korg Monotron? Last made in Japan. The other two - in Vietnam.
Does the filter keyboard pitch track over MIDI like it does with the ribbon? I've wanted to mod mine for a while, but if the filter doesn't track the keyboard, that would be rather disappointing.
Yes, it does track, but at a different rate. I think the cutoff is wired directly to the ribbon rather than the voltage at the 'pitch' testpad at the opamp, so the voltage is skewed. You could potentially add another resistor to adjust the tracking amount. If you had another analog output on the microcontroller you could control the cutoff by MIDI too.

Dude...carpe diem
then change that when the oppurtunity comes, anyone can do anything, look up circuit bending if you havent
Sameeeeee here kk
Finally the monotron can deliver what it has under hood. Great
👍🤖✋
these last sounds were just amazing
0:20 that literally a cat synth
that sounds awesome man, congrats
waiiit... it even supports aftertouch?
Wow, I saw the project, you definitely stuck an messload of components into that package.

Hi, where i can buy all the kit to made it, please. I´m so interested.
Cheers an Best Regards!
Aha, he is in the Motorola ring tone business, which was very popular in 2004!!?? Billions in revenue.
Would this work on the monotron delay?
I need to know this too
Yes, even better
Awesome! Would it be possible to get tempo sync for the Monotron Delay? =)
Not used the monotron delay so I don't know for sure, but I imagine it's possible.
mitxela Thank you

Thanks for sharing!
Release an album

Tom Scott is that you?
Hi! Would it work for a korg sq1 midi out?
Hi.. could you say to me ...if it will work with a yamaha psr 530? it has a midi in and output.
Thanks ...cheers from Uruguay

+mitxela what keyboard are you using there as the midi controller?
I was googeling, I think it is M-AUDIO AXIOM 61
i am looking fopr the aux input replacement component since mines broke down, anyone knows where to get?
Amazing!
can this be done with the monotron delay?
Probably!
nice job !
It works in monotron duo?
Why not show how it's done?
Wooooooow
