Thank you!!! I was able to get this whole song down on guitar in a half hour with your tutorial. Now to marry the strumming pattern with the singing. The way you played and sang the song at the beginning really gives me a fighting chance to do that by playing and singing along with you!!!!
Actually this is by far the best described "teaching" of this song....big thumbs up.....I've been playing for 2 years but only wrote my own songs (lotsa power chord punk songs that were super fun to play) but never tried to LEARN a whole song.....so thanks for this!
Hello,iv been only playing a yr,well a yr ago i got my guitar and i had no clue,so id say 8mths when i learned few chords and intros and a song 2 ,but i can play this now better its just getting the strumming, and ur vid hepled me a lot thanks,im 46 and taght id never get aguitar, that ship had sailed, but a yr on im loving it,thank you
Oh my darling Rob, I really made a big mistake. I am posting from Jamaica and to hear you playing and singing Bob's song I get goose pimples. Wish you could pay a visit to Jamaica and do something at the Norman Manley Cultural Centre. It would be awesome, your tutoring is great...love always!!
Goosebumps Rob! Such talent: vocal and impeccable guitar work. You so willingly, selflessly show us how to play it.Immensely grateful to you.PS: Whenever your channel pops up on my screen I open with bated breath.Thank you Brother!
What's considered a Beginner? Been playing, or trying to learn to play by myself for 1 month and the strummings and chord changes look difficult for me. I guess I'm Still hyperbeginner haha, any tips?
Huh, is that really what he’s saying? I’ve looked it up on multiple sites and “forward” seems to be the popular interpretation. I’ll see if I can find his handwritten notes.
@@swiftlessons After seeing your lyrics i found it the same way on multiple websites as well, but it just makes so little sense in the context of the song. One is not "triumphant" in forwarding something, but rather in fighting something. Anyway, it's possible I'm wrong, if you know where to find some of his handwritten notes that's much more concrete of a source than I ever expected to be able to find. Either way, great video, I think this is going to be the first song I'll actually be able to play all the way through, thanks!
Perhaps, there were certain elements and pronunciations that I didn’t feel comfortable using, it just wouldn’t be authentic coming from me. Still, I love singing the song and it really is a wonderful tune to experiment with.

I'm glad you add the very last Am6 chord. Seems like a lot of lesson videos don't include that.

Andy, you make my day on this Bob Marley classic, awesome. I play it a bit differently from you, i.e, the strumming pattern. Love you much!!
Hey Bridgette, maybe you have me confused with Andy Guitar, my name is Rob. Either way, thanks so much for the positive feedback! -Rob

Hey, would you do a lesson on "I washed my Hands in Muddy Water" by Stonewall Jackson, please?
Today I learned people think bob sang "forward in this generation" in stead of "fought in this generation"

How do you hemer a note ?
End of verse #2 Em C D part. 2:51
How about Justin townes earle? Something to commemorate his life.
Could you do yer blues 🥺
Play Grace Jeff Buckley
I think you change too much the singing melody in this one, and the singing style! I prefer the original singing melody by bob

Agree....Never alter a Marley song.
Thanks!
