Ji won was honestly one of my favorite female leads, she was realistically badass not like the exaggerated strong woman do bong so, she was smart, loving, faithful, knew how to fight, caring, she has it all, nowadays a lot the female leads are portrayed as bitchy and rude in order to be seen as a strong woman, ji won showed her loving and caring nature can make her just as strong

since jiwon same age as hyunsoo's older sister, she's like no one can touch hyunsoo except her. not even moojin, not even yeom sangcheol, not even detective choi. how crazy hyunsoo is, jiwon is crazier than him.

Cha ji won is easily one of the strongest female leads out there, despite having a soft spot she really knows when to be professional. Moon chae won really nailed her role!
Unpopular opinion: Those dramas where the female lead character needs to be a jerk to show that she is sTrOnG and InDePeNdEnT woman is getting annoying. I love Moon Chae Woon's character in Flower of Evil because she knows when to be a professional and serious and when to be a caring woman. She doesn't need to dowgrade men to be "special".

Before even this drama aired, the teaser already said : "A man who's pretends to love, a woman who's even loved danger." 80% love story (melodrama), 20% thriller. Jiwon is such queen who's fall in love with psychopath. So, thanks for this fanmade M/V. It's so suitable with the drama genre!🙈🔥

[SPOILER] At some comments who just misjudged this drama plot only based on this video : Hyunsoo might be a psychopath over his past of being serial killer son and his born with ASPD (for not understand people's emotions) but he just man with innocent heart. He never even rise a finger on Jiwon and Eunha (even at time he frustrated Jiwon handcuff him and suspects him over serial murders), never gets angry at them (even I want to see him mad over Jiwon's once), always smiling. Never rise his voice over them. Always apologize. He learns (on internet a lot) how to look normal husband and father (and he done more than normal man do) just because he want to give back love Jiwon had give to him in 14 years of marriage. He supportive over Jiwon's passionate dream of being detective of heavy crime department, write a diary about her habits, named his workshop over his wife, rise their daughter, do the housechores, send and pick up Eunha from school. He has done a lot while hiding his dark side identity of most wanted criminal of 18 years.
You're right...even though Ji Won said she would like him more and be good to him, it was actually Hyun Soo who tried really hard for their relationship.
When Ji Won handcuffed him and he said to her "Do you believe me? Who in the world is gonna believe me if you don't?" I literally cried😭😭 seriously that scene hurt me most...throughout the drama he only suffered...even his own wife needed proof to believe him🙂

Hyun Soo said he doesn't love Jiwon any single bit (since he a psychopath and wanted criminal of cold murder case that hide from the dark cold cruel world which none would beliefs him) but Jiwon convince him that he does love her only him the one didn't know the fact. She was the one who mark the words to made Hyun Soo fall hard on her and teach him new things in the world he doesn't know about.
But when he finally realized he does love her, Jiwon doubted him over murder case that obviously happened at her "parents-in-law" house (duhhh...) that they was visited the night before and made Hyun Soo's little bright world become dark again. It's hurt Hyun Soo so much. More over it was Jiwon investigate on Hyun Soo's fingerprint on their bed room.
It does hurt all of us too..😭😭😭
But we also can't blame Jiwon because in her perspective of upright law enforcement detective, she just want protect him and prove his innocent - with law - even she have to put him behind bars.. 💔💔💔

@@rifatasnia3911 actually she explained why she had to handcuffed him. it was not because she doubted him. it is to protect him from the antagonist because she knew he'll do everything to prove his innocence even that means risking his life. she was always understanding, she believed he couldn't do those kind of things as she said to her fellow colleague
@@idgf596 if she had not doubted him, there was no reason to go through the fingerprint test, was there? She said it herself , "I doubted you"...as Hyun Soo's fingerprint wasn't in the database, there was no proof that it was him, but she didn't trust him.
Also, when they went to save Jung Min Seok, Ji Won said "A Murder is a murder...no one can justify it"...Like seriously? He went through so much because of her, if he went berserk thinking that his wife is dead, it's not his fault... but still she thinks like a police officer, till the end law is everything to her!

I've been watching kdramas for over 7 years now and this drama is PHENOMENAL!!! Definitely in top 5 kdramas of all time for me!!! AMAZING acting!!! TERRIFIC cast!!!! Im so mad its not as hyped as some other (cough cough) dramas that honestly are so plain.....

@@chimchim7121 crime or thriller like signal, tunnel, mouse, beyond evil and big issue is quite good. Ongoing drama like dark hole and taxi driver is quite insteresting. For me, mbc dramas like 365:repeat the days and times are gems. You should watch all of em! I tend to avoid romance-comedy ones cause I always get dissapointed of its plot. Dramas like true beauty is too overrated ngl

Flower of evil is like the most underrated kdrama ever and it hurts.
This drama literally tells how the environment and their perceptions shape you especially to teenagers, and that brings him/her to painful adults. Until some people show another side of the world full of love that we changed to someone full of love too.
the message is very heavy but it was put out beautifully. i've rewatched this 3 times 😅

This drama is in same category as cheese in the trap but it will always be my fav thriller-romance drama. Everything is so amazing. Very underrated. I knew i will the drama when i saw the scene where he visits his parents on his bday and they seemed so distant with the granddaughter. The scene was intriguing yet funny. 10/10

1) OCN's Kill It - Main lead : Female police with assassin murder. Sad ending.
2) Netflix's My Name - Main Lead : Male police with female gangster/murderer.
3) Netflix's Vincenzo - Main Lead : Male Mafia/Lawyer with female lawyer
4) Disney+'s Big Mouth : Male lawyer (stuck with fake identity of most dangerous genius criminal conman known as Big Mouse and get involved in priviledge upperclasses murder case) with nurse.
5) JTBC/Disney+'s Snowdrop. Not really crime but quite good tense thriller and romance. Male North Korean agent with a female University student.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to come across this. I literally feel like I should’ve paid to watch something so intricately overwhelming and crazy. I didn’t want it to end. The characters were so well thought out; there were hidden moments which when I think back to, I realize significances of each and every scene. God, this was beautiful. flower of evil, kim jihoon, director kim cheolgyu and lee joongi got nominated in 57th baeksang arts awards but only director kim cheolgyu won. nevertheless, being nominated in such prestigious award shows like this is an achievement itself! flower of evil was such a good drama and literally one of my all time favorites!!! AMAZING MASTERPIECE, FLOWER OF EVIL MY BEST DRAMA FOREVER.

A great drama. I had to skip to the end to see how it end and see if it was worth it. once I saw it I was able to go and watch it all. I usually skip through the episodes if it starts to get boring but with this drama I didn't skip once after my first initial skip.
