I think it had so much potential and they used none of it. if it wasn't called vampire detective I wouldn't have guessed they were vampires and there are two things I hate when endings do, and that's where there's a big time jump at the end and when it open ended and this was both.

Why is that girl so fucking weak and he needs to protect her everytime ? Didnt she attend the police academy as well ? So she should be as strong as the two of that trio no ? Also the guy who betrayed them became a vampire right ? And bcs of that more lethal. Why didnt she become stronger as well when becoming one ? Also i hated how they got us in by thinking theyd be looking for answers for gae yeol's brother's death but only ended up focusing on san's past lile wth i didnt feel like she was given the treatement she deserved. And if youre gonna suffocate us with scenes of san and his gf every ep amd focus on them the last 3 ep why would you kill her at the end ? I wont even talk about the ending bcs it was so stupid but i was super dissapointed about how the director and writer dealt withe caracters instead. I heard there was supposed to be a 2nd season so maybe it wouldve been better but well never know

Empress Ki is my favorite because she didn't back off from taking action. Like I loved the movie about Dong Yi and the king. She was also smart and strategic but I always though that she was too kind and selfless. I wished she was a bit more decisive. But both are iconic. I still love both. But empress Ki is literally an inspiration for me.
