So I take this to mean it's the strength primarily that helps, and mass to the extent that it effects the strength... so going for lower reps (building strength) is better than going purely for size (body building, which can be done simply by volume regardless of strength).

but what are the exact metrics? three times body weight deadlift, OHP your body weight, 20 dead hang pull ups, and 60 minutes on a bike maintaining 3 PWR, 90 minute half marathon, 5 second 40 yard dash? are we talking a >22 FFMI? let's get specific. a specific VO2 max or lactate threshold? if this is the octogenarian olympics, what are the olympic records to aim for?

Squat, bench, deadlift, overhead press, rows and pullups + good diet and at least .7 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. 8 hours of sleep a day.

If you look at any example of long living populations who live in goodhealth non of them are "buildingmuscle". They stay active mindlessly most of the day, wqlking, still working whether paid or not. Seems to bw the new craze this but doeant seem true

Can someone out there define “heavy lifting” for women ? Is that 50 pound dumbbells? Is that 120 pound squats ?

It’s all relative to how much work your muscles are use to. Keep your repetitions under 10. Use a workout log and always push to increase your workload through more weight. This explanation is very simplified. Watch videos, read, talk to people and maybe get a trainer for a few sessions.

What’s heavy for one person may be light for another
Don’t focus on the weight so much just try to ensure that whatever weight you use you are close to failure within 10-15 reps so you feel like you can’t do any more during that set
Also different exercises will require different weights you won’t squat the same weight as you bench press for example but the same principal of 10-15 reps applies so it’s individual to you

These people want to live forever because they are too focused on the life of this world.
I don't disagree with the importance of lifting but the obsession with longevity is strange. You will only mitigate aging so much.

So you would like to spend the last 10 to 20 years of your life weak and in pain ? Or would you rather be able to do whatever you want at any age , health span is even more important than lifespan , i know people in their 20's that can't do a single push up or are so fat that they can't even tie their own shoelaces. Plus this life is the only one we are certain of.
