I just heard it while browsing Harry Potter theme song in IG Story. This song feels warm so I tried to search it on RUclips, and I'm here! Didn't expect that the music video will make me tear up. How I wish they could've make the movie series longer and more detailed back then. I miss the casts-the complete casts whom we know will never be reunited again in person and in another HP series 😭 No other artists could ever replace them in my heart. I like the message of the song saying the founders were great and that we should unite the houses, and the melody is wonderful. The parts that piss me off are the parts where it doesn't even acknowledge that Salazar was best friends with Godric and the others, and making him out to be an evil git. When historically he disliked muggleborns because they had a foot in each world, and if they decided to rat out Hogwarts or the magical community to the muggles with more power then his family could get hurt. In the sorting hat's song in the book it says "or perhaps in Slytherin you'll find your real friends, those cunning folks use any means, to achieve their ends". Also the Basilisk was originally primarily there to provide protection for the school, not harm it. Again i love the song i just don't like Salazar being made out as evil.
Now imagine if it went like this instead: "Salazar Slytherin had his own plans, he hoped for safety of magical lands, though he taught those of cunning, and great ambition, he left his best friends with a guardian for them" I always use this version when I sing the song, it goes with the melody and doesn't make Salazar seem like some vile and cruel person.

The biggest similarity between Brown & Hogwarts is that we have these gates which basically serve the same functionality as the Hogwarts boats (1st years enter in them, 7th years exit through them). I plan on declaring Computational Biology (CS & Bio) Clubs include: Brown Campaign for Burma, teaching middle schoolers to program videogames & planning Orientation for next year. I love Brown & it's a lot of work but the intellectual atmosphere is amazing
