    I Purchased a Nord Stage 3 and after a weekend of frustration trying to program layers, I returned it and bought the RD88 I should have thought of Roland first since I have owned many Roland keyboards over the years. I love your patch! I've been experimenting with my own layers and have come up with some beautiful combinations, but hadn't thought of using the velocity trigger in the layers. Thanks for that enlightenment!

      @Mark and Marj Music I HAVE A QUESTION.
      DOES THE RD88 HAS A VERY GOOD PIANO SOUND TO PLAY LATIN MUSIC LIKE MERENGUE OR SALSA MUSIC??.
      I WANT TO KNOW BECAUSE I'M THINKING IN TRADING MY MODX8 FOR AN RD88. I'M A LOVER OF THE ROLAND PIANO SOUNDS.

      The piano sound is beautiful. There’s a bright piano that’s be great for salsa.

      Yes man thanks. Its fun to play like this with hidden sound under velocity.... Most stage piano and works station has this functionality if thay just know how to program it... Somtimes in a band playing its nice to hide some brass on the velocity switch

    I remember getting my piano and having no idea how to use it. RUclips was my saving grace. You will be that to many others, I am sure. I appreciate you, brother 🤗❤️

    great tutorial, you just got a new sub,, After writing and saving your own sound to favourite , do you still have the original sound that came with the rd 88? Thanks

    All this was great. NOW: can I change the octave of a zone? If I want a pad in the left hand, but don't want it to be low, can I shift it to a higher octave?

    Thank you so much. Still discovering all the options on the RD88...
    Only problem i have is that i really have to hit the keys very hard to get the bell sound. How do i increase ch3 key sensitivity ?

      @MarkSomosoMusic  3 года назад

      Check on the velocity setting increased the number so it will be easier to triger ang adjust the touch response...

    Hi Mark. I just discovered your channel. I signed up for it. I loved the "scenes" you created on the RD-88. And, I would like to ask you: does your RD also cut off sound when we play UP1 + UP2? For example, in scene 015 (Mellow Concert and Dreaming Harp). I've been bothered by the lack of polyphony that occasionally happens to my RD. Have you noticed this too? Tks.

      Yes i notice it.... The board is not perfect my friend.. When changing scenes sometimes when you change the volume is very bad on volume controls. It will play loud not like korg kronos or other workstations... Not that perfect...

      I layered three zones and the sound keeps cutting off😡 it's so annoying

    Hello friend, you still have the piano, hasn't it failed you? I have thought about purchasing it but I have heard cases of people who had it defective from the factory.
