There is something about this film that intrigues me...but I cannot put my finger on what it is. Of course, N.Kinski is absolutely stunning, and Annette is very easy on the eyes as well. It's an odd film...you wonder how and why it was even made, although I am glad it was made. It's one of those wonderful films that is so very different from the usual fare..its a very sensual and relaxing film to watch late at night. Even when I first seen it as a teenager I was intrigued.
There seems to be some debate of the beauty of these two actresses. Annette O'toole, I imagine, is of Irish/Scottish ancestry from the looks of her name, skin and hair - she's gorgeous. And Natassia Kinski has that Eastern European beauty. Their both equally pretty...as all women of the world.
you guys are out of your minds-they are BOTH beautiful-annette is an absolute vision and natasha does have that sultry intrigue. but she's euopean=it's much easier to be mysterious when you aren't an all american gal!
They never clear up whether she jumped in the pool without her top on because she was afraid of hearing the leopard growl, or because she just always swims like that. Which is one reason why there should be a sequel.

Some people may ask how could you like this actress so much. My answer is that it's her attitude. When you see some of her scenes in this movie, it's like she don't give a shit.

They all seem to have the same plastic surgery. They could actually have been people you would have known and liked.

The implication is that the Spanish woman, like Irena, is one of the Cat People (however, at this point, Irena doesn't even know that there is any such thing). This is why she calls Irena "my sister" -- somehow, she recognizes that Irena is like herself. It's too bad that Irena's brother Paul hadn't explained anything to her at that point or else she might have introduced him to this woman and they could have had sex safely with each other -- but of course, then there would be no story!
Annette is still hot (of course, since I'm now 68, I still see the beauty under the wrinkles ... lol) The fact that she's an excellent actress is what never fades.
