Excellent video (Gino) also yes think Starter needs clean plus rebuilt plus power connector needs clean up with tell that and carb looks orgnail never clean too also ! Plus too what my father used clean tractors and combine fuel out was Hot warm water 50% & 50% Vinegar mix 2 times and swish with clean rocks pepples and use air compressor spray nozzle up fuel bowl bottom tank with fuel cap on to blow bubbles for 5 mins each dose of mix and drain them plus repeat 2 times and wash with hot warm water! Yes tank took off plus glass bowl on gas and desiel one fuel line too and assembled after 2 hours of drying out ! Working perfectly did each year plus 2 times year fuel filters in Spring and Fall Season! Also Starter when put back on Power Connectors use thin layer Vaseline or Grease or Anti Seize plus bolts threads Gino it provides protection and rust up!

You have about the same weather as we do here in West Virginia. Normally we might get a dusting of snow on the first week deer season normally the very first day. Then it goes away as fast as we got it. Ive seen upper 70°s for rest of buck season to. So you never know.

the ring gear will have 4 places that will wear you turn the engine an 1/8th of a turn and look at the ring gear for bad spots. that bendix looks like a possible cheap after market. sometimes when these fail they wont disengage and keep turning the starter when the engine is running.. here is a trick when cubs were changed over to 12volt IH did away with the bendix starter a different front pulley was installed and a 12v starter generator replaced the 6v generator. many cub owners that discovered a bad ring gear that did not want to send the cub to the service dept did the starter generator conversion was cheaper.a solenoid and a push button switch like the 756 used...and a different voltage regulator was installed.

You mentioned an "in-frame" overhaul ? The c-60 engine has rods larger than pistons. The crank has to be removed before pistons are removed from bottom.

I believe a large number of the Cubs past the mid-1950s were sold to municipalities, schools, highway departments, cemetery associations, etc and had some sort of mowing attachments on them. The under slung exhaust permitted them to go under trees and other low clearance places. You could still order them with a vertical exhaust, but they were uncommon.

I don't have a problem with all the little funny things that you say that are corky and only come out of your mouth. But please don't name your tractors
