Thought I was the only one that likes bloodline.. Saw slayer many times at donnington..download fest. And seeing them do war ensemble full fucking in the prime is a epic experience .🤘🤘
Ive been a slayer fan since back in the day, and even against raining blood, dead skin mask, and even their later stuff. No song gers me pumped like world painted blood. This song is epic as it gets. Turned up to 11 the whole time.
I've liked them since the late 80s..am 48 & they're the last live band I've seen which was around 11 years ago..too long ago. wish I could go back..being in centre moshpit was freakin great
React to anything from seasons in the abyss or south of heaven, personally I think slayer has made some of the best mid tempo thrash songs in these two albums
Dude, I love Slayer !!!!!!! There the greatest Band ever. There never was a big 4. Just the little 3 trying to catch the KINGS at the top. KING SLAYER !!!!!!!!
Hey! You saw my post from A YEAR AGO! Original Slayer is Tom Arya (bass/vocals), Jeff Hanneman (Lead/Rhythm Guitar), Kerry King (Lead/Rhythm Guitar) and the best metal drummer, Dave Lombardo. Lombardo was replaced with Paul Bostaph ( another great drummer too, but could never match Lombardo's intensity) in the mid 90s until the mid 2000s, when Lombardo came back. Then they fired Lombardo again a few years ago and brought Bostaph back. Jeff Hanneman died in 2010 from complications of alcoholism while recovering from a serious spider bite he got while on tour. Hanneman was the main songwriter of Slayer's earlier, classic music. I saw him play for the last time at the Big Four show in Southern California in 2010. Hanneman was subsequently replaced by Exodus' Gary Holt, who was the about the only person who could do Slayer justice. If you like this type of Thrash, Exodus is something you should definitely check out. Slayer's sound comes from Hanneman's love of aggressive punk rock and King's love of NWOBHM music like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Which technically, is what Thrash Metal is all about (punk and heavy metal). You've opened another can of worms now. Not all of Slayer's songs are THIS fast and brutal, but they are all heavy, dark and moody in their own way. For more songs like this, try Hell Awaits, Angel of Death (which really should be your next one), War Ensemble or Hate Worldwide. For some dark, moody, heaviness, do Seasons in the Abyss, South of Heaven, or Dead Skin Mask. If you want some heavy rifts, check out Mandatory Suicide, Skeletons of Society, Bloodlines or Eyes of the Insane (for which they won a Grammy). There's lots of other good recommendations on here. You can hardly go wrong. I saw them two more times after I last posted for a total of 42. They played their last shows in 2019, so unfortunately, you waited too long to see them live, which is a special experience. At 47, I suffer from inflamed joints in my neck from all my headbanging. A Slayer pit is a special thing and there is no other place like it.
The way you were acting in the video is pretty much how a Slayer fan does when discovering them for the first time. Now, you will not just say their name but you will scream it. SLAYER!! There is so much from this band but the classic era is a must. Angel of Death, Raining Blood, South of Heaven, Hell Awaits, Black Magic, Chemical Warfare, War Ensemble, Seasons in the Abyss, Die by the Sword, etc. etc.
Congratulations....you have entered a larger world. Based on past experience introducing friends to this band, when approaching Slayer for the first time I find it best to just say fuck it and jump right in to the Reign in Blood album. Start with Angel of Death.🤘
You need to go to a show if you get the opportunity now that Jeff passed away (RIP). Love your reaction. You remind me of myself when I first heard them in 1985. I was jumping all around like you listening to Hell Awaits.
welcome to the fam.....the other 3 of the big 4 has to get permission from Slayer to even think about making a new song...cause you know its fucking SLAYER !!@!@!@@!@!
jajjaj nice ,,i love your reactions because is like we really enjoy music in our rooms back in 90s ,,,listen to slayer ,,chemical warfare or hellawaits ,,,epic songs
Welcome to Slayer. There is no turning back now. I recommend the new trilogy of videos by Slayer. You Against You, Repentless, and Pride and Prejudice. You will be mind blown.
I believe that your reaction to this song is what music in general is supposed to do since my first SLAYER show back in 1986. No other band has impressed me more whether live, or on record. Great reaction!
You know he likes it when he can't sit still, gets off his chair and walks out the door. :D This was the last album with the 'classic' lineup, after their old drummer Dave Lombardo was brought back a few years prior, and also the last to feature guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who would die a few years later due to liver failure (a textbook example of alcohol abuse). And yes, they're always like this. There's a reason they're one of the Big Four of Thrash Metal, after all. If you want more Slayer, check out Angel of Death, Chemical Warfare, South of Heaven, Dittohead, War Ensemble, etc. You can't really go wrong with them.
Wow dude you’ve got an AWESOME journey coming if the only thrash you’ve heard is Metallica/Megadeth! For Slayer you’ve gotta check out Seasons in the Abyss, Angel of Death, Mandatory Suicide, Postmortem, War Ensemble, Hell Awaits, and At Dawn They Sleep. So many classics 🤘
Fun fact slayer’s guitarist kerry king was once a guitarist in megadeth ... listen to the whole (seasons in the abyss) album . one of the best albums in the history of metal (in my opinion)
I've just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and jammed along your Power Up by AC/DC reactions like crazy, my favorite band is also AC/DC i'm 47... so following the logic evolution SLAYER is gonna be your second favorite band. Trust me and react to South Of Heaven by them. Salud from Spain!
"Missing out" is an understatement, my man! You gotta listen to more of em now! Especially if you're hitting the gym and trying to beat the hell out of a bag! Slayer is what ya need! Or rather..FUCKIN SLAYERRRR!!! 🤟🤬
The thing I love the most about Slayer is that throughout the years they have been relentless. They never lightened up their sound. They always remained true to themselves. They are Repentless!!🤘🤘🤘
As a SLAYER fan-atic for 35+ years, I would recommend anything from the albums Reign in Blood or South of Heaven. Songs I'd recommend War ensemble Read between the lies Silent scream Angel of Death
Hey everyone, Heaths old school Hard Rock , so let's all get him on the Liliac and Warning trains. Those 2 families have immense talent he needs to see and hear.
Judging by your taste in music, I'd say if you want to get into Slayer, check out their first album; Show No Mercy. That has a very NWOBHM sort of sound to it (obviously wrapped in Slayer's own style of satanic dark metal). My recommendation for songs would be Metal Storm/Face the Slayer!
Lots of great suggestions already ("Seasons in the Abyss" is one of my favorite songs by any band). I would suggest the trilogy "Repentless," "You Against You" and "Pride in Prejudice", all from theis final album before retiring. The videos tell a story in three parts (the order I gave is the album order and the order for the release of the videos, but if you want it in "chronological" order, then it would be "You against..." then "Repentless" and finally "Pride in Prejudice"). Enjoy! :-)
Yes, almost all of slayer is like this.kick ass thrash.
Tom Araya - vocals /Bass
Kerry King- Guitar
Jeff Hanneman(r.i.p.)- Guitar
Dave Lombardo - Drums
Was the classic line up and the guys on this track.
Seasons in the Abyss, Dead Skin Mask, Skeletons Of Society, and Behind the Crooked Cross are must listens
I think you'd like Slayer- Bloodline. It's got a nice slower headbanging feel. It's badasss!
Thought I was the only one that likes bloodline..
Saw slayer many times at donnington..download fest.
And seeing them do war ensemble full fucking in the prime is a epic experience
.🤘🤘
One of their bad-assest solos ever.
Bloodline 🤘
I found Slayer through bloodline on the Dracula 2000 soundtrack
I know everyone else recommended it as well, but definitely check out Angel of Death. RIP Jeff Hanneman
Ik its not cool.. but irresistible.. his NaMe Is JEfF
This is a great modern Slayer song 🤘🏻
Angel of death, and criminally insane
Slayer obliterates the other three of the big four....
They're all great, no point trying to pretend one is better than the others since they're also very different.
Slayer is its own. The others not included
Well said
Ive been a slayer fan since back in the day, and even against raining blood, dead skin mask, and even their later stuff. No song gers me pumped like world painted blood. This song is epic as it gets. Turned up to 11 the whole time.
This is a highly underrated slayer song. Love this song and so many others! And yes megadeth is awesome too!
