Hello Ivan,
for me this is one of the most beautiful watches that you have presented on your channel.
Art Deco plus a little bit of Bauhaus. That suits my taste. I have a couple of vintage watches from that time, mostly from Bulova.
As you also noted, the case would have to be revised again. But not only in the thickness. The case is not in Art Deco design.
The size is completely ok, even for my strong wrist. Back then, the clocks were on average even smaller. 32-36mm diameter for men was not uncommon. Manual winding was completely normal for that time. Automatic and hacking are concessions to modern comfortable times, but completely ok.
I will definitely keep an eye on this brand.

I love how these watches are so simplistic and basic, but yet it’s so beautifully done! The dial is well done and the case style is amazing. The crown is icing on the cake.👍🏼

I have the white Tuxedo handwound version. I really like that black tuxedo look with the lume filled hands. Beautiful watch!
Thanks for sharing that - how do you find the movement? I reckon a hand wound would be interesting if not quite as convenient...
The movement is excellent! I feel hand wind movements fit dress watches better because the case is slimmer than the automatic and it comes with a display back. Also, winding is buttery smooth, more so than any other watch I own!

This is a cool piece and I Don’t have an Art Deco Style peace in my collection… I think it’s time and this one fits the bill...no ghost position shows attention to detail and font choice and case deign Screams 1950s art deco…I was in Singapore last year, wish I had known to look up Ivan then😂

I've reviewed quite a few dress style pieces over time. Other ones it's harder to be picky... they seem to the trend!

I like a bigger watch but size is perfect for the vintage style and using the right movement for no date is good too .

Great video as always Ivan love your channel awesome watch to I love a simple 3 hander watch and I would go with the manual winding one it gives u an extra connection with the watch in my opinion plus reminds u of a time when a man had to manual wind his watch every morning. So cool!

As always, cracking review brother, much appreciated....That dial....WOW....I do have a thing for art deco....this piece really does embody that philosophy, with the exception of the case height, they've fallen down there....if they could have gotten that down to 9.5/10 ish then it would be beyond perfect.... everyone loves lume but it's wasted on this, it shouldn't be applied here....then there's the case back, STUNNING....this watch is possibly a Grail list piece for me, as a dress watch this ticks absolutely every single box....⌚🏴⌚🏴

Vario does have this watch with non-lumed hands - they're the same shape but open/punched through where this has lume.
It makes for a special occasion watch more than a daily wear watch.
Can be a daily work watch depending on the environment I think... certainly fine for shirt and tie jobs

Lovely looking watch and something completely different to the dive watches we have to look at in most of these videos. Would have liked it slightly bigger with a date display but otherwise it would still be a watch I would like to add to my collection. Thanks for the excellent video 👍
Most welcome Mike... yeah it is different for sure. I'm afraid diver style is gonna keep coming, but I do like the change up now and then!
Another thumbe up. My first snd i think my only dislike is the strap. I like the rest. The schoolhouse numbers are bold and pleasing. Im only 67 but am lucky enough to recall several good restaurant s and a soda bar that had real art deco. Oh! Lookup the Cincinnati Union Terminal. A actually took a steam train to ? Gary Indiana? About 100 miles or so. The terminal had lots of art deco. The side os this watch with its brush or machine tool marks, add that AD charm and is subtle about it. I always like a splash of red on the rotor! Nice pic! Cheers.

@@PerthWAtch that means a lot.. I'm trying to clean up the act. I think i like the all white dial best. Like i need one more watch. In all, how many reviews is it. This makes 3. 2 i keep gravitating to. You reviewed a week or 2 or it just came up, can't recall the name. In several models, black and a blue with black bezel? But, my number ONE that haunts me like a lady that got away... The TAG, Formula 1, calibre 16. Dark gray all the way, and a whisp of red here and there. I spent most of my retirement savings so the only way I can afford one is a clone. OK by me since I'm not trying to impress anyone. I just LOVE that face. Like Lonnie Anderson, Megan Fox and Anne Hathaway all in one. It's your fault! LOL.

@@PerthWAtch maybe the oris that says 2 mos ago. Not sure, my brain messes with me. I was going to buy that ine where the owner commented. About $400usd? But, my wifes aunt came to stay with us for a week so we bought a full sopha and lazyboy (recliner) now i can't spend that 400. But, I really want that Tag. I don't recall how many watches that you have reviewed but t dream of that one, over all others. I love deep blue faces but this gray is so alluring. I don't think it's a bad thing. Very nice looking dress watch. Love the clean dial as far as printing goes, never understood why they say automatic on the bottom. After all you never see manual or automatic on the back of car near their name or maker badge. LOL Love the contrast with the smooth silver and the cross hatch pattern too, with simple dots for minute indicators. Even the case, with the steps near the lugs on the sides adds a touch of character IMO. Quite elegant I think. But like you said, could loose a little thickness, especially if you want to wear under a cuff. Thanks Ivan for another great video.

Haha yeah cars don’t say that anymore but they used to when auto was more of a new thing. And these days they say stuff like AWD, Quattro, Turbo, V8, etc... things that happen to be a selling point ;)

Hello Ivan , mate that's one cool little watch I think , and it's good to see their decision to use NH38 so there's no ghost position , the font on the numbers is amazing and I like the strap , only thing is for me I don't think I'd wear it much it would sit in my display case with my 10 other deco , dress style watches for some reason I always wear sports style unless I'm at a wedding or something like that .

Check out the brand Lobinni. I bought their 36mm dress watch off AliExpress and it’s an awesome little dress watch. Runs just 1 sec fast a day. All their watches look sharp but for some reason it gets no attention in the community.

Honestly I like the design, reminds me of some of my old watches that I used to collect, such as Gruen and Benrus. Specially the art deco case and crown. I guess those are the good points about the watch.
As the bads? well not really much except some of the obvious things, such as price (of course, ha ha), bit too thick (I prefer to be at least 10mm thick with domed crystal would be more appropriate for this type of design).
Vario watches.....I have not really heard or watched many watch reviews on this brand. However, my only concern is that since it is a micro brand and with original design, they must do a lot of advertisements in order to promote their watches.

Thanks for that Alex - yeah Vario have really come out promoting straps and accessories initially. I believe this is only their second watch project, and they are keeping it simple, also not bombarding everywhere with ads - I don't mind their approach so far, keeping it chilled: they only sent one to me quite a long time after the initial release.
