I'm a quiller, and you are doing it right. I also like that you don't waste material, even if it is scrap or recycled. Yu got yourself a new subscriber :)
The video posted before this one inspired me to give paper quilling/rolling a try, and my quilling tool arrived today. You make it seem so easy so I can't wait to see how it goes now! Fingers crossed I can make more than just paper cuts on my fingers hahaha
Wonderful! I’m so glad that I have inspired you! Give yourself lots of practice. Don’t get discouraged. Something I think helped me was making some paper beads long ago. Practice with wider strips of paper to get the hang of it. No paper cuts, they are the worst!
Thank you! Another excellent tutorial! A great way to recycle COVID-19 papers - from trash to mini treasures! LOL 😆 I see a lot of things when you were showing the different possibilities - terra cotta pot, aerosol can, ice cream cone etc. 😊
Wow! This was a terrific tutorial! I would never have thought you could so much with rolled paper. Thank you for sharing these tips. I will definitely check out other paper beading tutorials. Thank you! 😊😊😊
I’m new to miniatures, but one of the first projects I made was with paper beads from templates. It was way out of scale. The way you explained how to make the measurements and thicknesses is going to be super helpful when I try again!
Very well explained and I love how you made everyone see different ideas (the sky is the limit😁) from just putting them together in different ways ❤❤ thank you
Inspiring video, thanks. I do paper quilling and miniatures, it's a nice marriage. I even got a miniature paper quilling house plant kit one time! You did well, no apologies needed😂 I wanted some larger rolling tools for beads, I found a video on here using a cotter pin inserted into a dowel piece with a hole drilled into the center. I found that helpful.
My daughter ( 8) and I followed the previous tutorial and our stone-wear jugs and pots are so cute! It was a bit tedious cutting the strips with the scissors, I need to look into getting some proper tools.
Thank you again! This has been such an inspiring tutorial. There is a long winter ahead and I’ll be back to my miniatures very soon. You’ve been so helpful… no more searching for the right size straws, sticks, dowels for some of my off scale pieces. I can easily do all the canned goods, crockery, stovepipes and more, far faster!
I'm watching again while I make a few new items for my collection. Only 4 months since this episode came out and you're at 9,000 subs now!! Sincere Congratulations 🎊 👏 ❤️
Thank you for the congratulations I appreciate that!! 🤗🥰 I’m totally blown away by how many subscribers I have in in just a little over 5 months. Thank you for watching and commenting too!!
New subscriber today. You deserve 99K+ more. This video has interested me in resurrecting my quilling tools. I think curling the paper is an excellent idea. I can see where it would make the curling on the tool easier as you wouldn't be struggling with the body of a flat piece of paper. Thinking you could use ball end dot tools to help shaping. I don't do miniatures (yet) but love how you put the various shapes together to get a table leg. Thank you so much for sharing. Now where did I put those quilling tools? ☺Question: do you have a favorite glue that you use for your paper based miniatures?
Thank you!! 😊 So glad I inspired you to quill again. Thats a great idea about the ball dot tool. I usually use Elmers glue all, mod podge or wood glue.
Thank you! This is absolutely inspiring. I am new to miniature making but this is something I know I can do. Brilliant! You should apply to be on Best in Miniature!
I knew that this technique is good for making miniature but I always loose the paper in the end .you have to focus all the time in the process . Thank you for this tutorials(the way to use your finger to hold it , the way to roll it ) ,I will try again
This was so incredibly helpful! I've loved minis way before loving minis was cool.😃 However, I am brand new to creating minis, so THANK YOU so much!! 😊
I have been recycling paper too, I have a tool but I am not as good as you. I need to practice more than I do as I really want to make the ceramic looking jugs and crock thingies.

I’m so glad you could understand and be inspired by the video. I was worried it may be confusing lol.

Your welcome! Hope you give it a try.
Fantastic ❤❤❤
Thanks!! 🥰
You can also remove the center of a domed piece to make bottles, especially if you want the bottle to hold something....like a flower.
😊
I have been recycling paper too, I have a tool but I am not as good as you. I need to practice more than I do as I really want to make the ceramic looking jugs and crock thingies.
Yes please give them a go.
Quilling is a bit more involved than just rolling paper strips. Hahaha It's a great way to make quite a few miniatures or tiny diaramas
😂😂😂
❤
Thanks!
