- Could this be one of the most challenging yet rewarding hikes in Australia? The Cape to Cape Track is one of Western Australia's iconic long-distance hikes.
I was lucky enough to see seals, whales and sunsets like you have never seen before! In this 3 part series, I will show you the good, the bad and the ugly as I take you with me on my journey along the Cape to Cape Track. When I look back at the footage, I smile, but it was quite the challenge :D.
The Cape to Cape Track goes from Cape Naturaliste lighthouse to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta. This scenic track will take your breath away with stunning beaches, endless ocean views and beautiful wildflowers.
For anyone looking to do the Cape to Cape Track: Do It! It is one of the most rewarding hikes in Australia. Tough, but totally worth it!!
Enjoy the video! :D

Thank you! 🙏😃
Thankyou for sharing your wonderfully helpful knowledge and in insight!
Thanks Julie :D :D :D
Absolutely stunning hike Dori... I look forward to the next episode.... I take it that you found a charger. 👍
Thank you! I did have to go back to my car to get a charger...will explain everything in the next episode 🤦♀️😆
That was the most stupid thing to do haha...I almost thought about going home 😂
@@DorisHikingAdventures Stupid? No! Well forget things... I can't count how many things I have forgot when hiking or camping...LOL
Very beautiful 😍😍..keep safe
Thank you! :D
What a beautiful coast! But walking in the sand is pretty hard! And Dori, your trail name, means that you do have to forget something, always... So you already did that with your phone charger... 😁 Take care and see you around! 😁 Groetjes, Kaat
It really is a challenging trail with the sand! It is one of the only multi day hikes in Western Australia.
I couldn't believe I was able to forget something so important - I film everything with my phone 😂😂
@@DorisHikingAdventures That's why you're Dori! Just keep swimming, euh, hiking! 😁
Hahahaha 😂😂😂
That made my day 😍
What an adventure! I love the video it’s very inspiring, you’re so brave to tackle a six day solo hike. The south west is our favourite part of WA, absolutely stunning scenery.
Thank you! It is such a nice experience 😁
If you are thinking about it, I would highly recommend it once its a bit cooler 😁😁
beautiful coastline, exciting at times when you are alone, well done
Thank you! 🙏
Great looking coastline - a walk to add to the list of must do's. Thanks for taking us with you.
Thank for watching! I hope you get to do it soon 😁
i did the cape to cape a few years ago, loving the memories your video is bringing me :)
Awesome!!
Loved the beautiful video. I found your channel thru RVAhikergirl in USA. Thanks for the nice videos. I subscribed.👍👣🙏
Awesome! Thank you!
Love it
Thank you Federica! 😍😍
I feel your pain Dori...that beach stretch on Injidup beach is tough going with a pack on... worse when there is a storm (speaking from experience...lol).
Haha yes indeed! When did you do yours? Storm is kinda stressy, but I do enjoy the rain etc from the tent 😁😁
What a great Trip!! One day I will make it to Australia and I will put part of this trail on my list! I enjoyed watching this with my daughter. We are in Maryland USA so we are on the other side of the world from you . But man I’m still going to say I hope we run into you one day out in the trail. ! The blue water at the end had us mesmerized.
Thank you! I am happy you are enjoying the videos 😁. Haha, you never know we run into each other, please stop me if you do 😁...i was supposed to do the PCT this year, we will see when that happens next with travel restrictions.
Maryland looks like such a beautiful part of the US! 😍
I did the cape to Cape about a year ago, loved it. Great memories. Sand walking is a killer! :) Bring a hat and wear a full length shirt, it gets supprisingly hot and open to wind burn too, really exposed. Great video.
Oooh did you? That is awesome :D
Any plans to do the Bibbulmun Track as well? 😊
amazing
Thank you! 🙏🙏 I am getting more confident in front of the camera 😃😃
@@DorisHikingAdventures you look brilliant in front of the camera
Ooo thank you!! 😍😃
Brilliant thanks
Thanks for watching 😁🙏
Hey Dori, great vids! Im planning for this trip soon and would like to know if there are water tanks at each camp and how many litres did you take each day? Cheers😂
@@DorisHikingAdventures awesome, 2L was what i was allowing for too. Cheers heaps 🤙
@@DorisHikingAdventures one other question.... What are the advantages to walking N>S over S>N? and is it the more preferred direction for thru hikers? Cheers again 👍
Omg I am so sorry! I gave you the wrong info. For some reason I thought you commented on the overland track. 🙈
Here is correct info:
There is a watertank at every campsite. I usually carried 3 liters on the C2C and made sure I had about 0.5 liter left at the end of the day just in case. If tanks are getting low, people usually report this in the FB groups so have a look before you go 😊
I also filled up all my bottles in the towns (usually you can find a tap near the toilets)
It doesn't really matter which direction, but I prefer N-S. They say the wind is usually behind you then, but it will be tough either way 😊
@@DorisHikingAdventures no worries at all, thanks for the update 👍👍
Beautiful! Just wondering how you liked the tent? I just ordered mine after watching your previous review.
I love it! It performed very well in a storm and I love how spacious it feels. It doesn't look particularly big inside, but because of the headroom, it feels a lot bigger when you are actually in it :)
Super easy to set up after a few practices :D
Only thing is that you need a bit of a larger spot to pitch it, but honestly I could not be happier with this tent 😍
I hope yours will arrive soon! 😃
Did you order the 1p or 2p?
Dori's Hiking Adventures 1 got the 1p
Nice! I hope you will love it as much as I do :D
I am taking it back out next weekend for another trip 🤩
Dori's Hiking Adventures slept in it last night. I really wanted to like it but it felt so small. My sleeping bag literally took up the entire space. I also had condensation build up on the mesh. In the tents defense it was like pea soup fog last night so everything was just wet. I’ll give it another try but I may just have to lose some weight somewhere else so I can take my big Agnes copper spur hv ul 2 with me out on the trail.
Oh no, sorry to hear about your experience 😔
The width can be a bit to get used to i agree, and i would love it to be a bit wider myself. But for me it probably feels spacious because i actually manage to sit up inside, instead of having to be bent all the time 😅.
When i leave the mesh open, it also creates a bit more freedom inside. But the first time i saw it i also thought it is a bit narrow...
I really hope you have a better experience next time 🥺😘
What time of year did you do it Dori?
Whale spotted @ 2:48 ?
🤣🤣 if you are talking about my shadow...no 😆
I am not sure if you can see any in the footage, but they were jumping all along the first day 😍
