In the Creed/story patch will state what country where i put the xxxx for whatever country it was made in. This is in every vintage bag Coach made.
I have a Murphy with the flat piece and it was made in Italy and its authentic and i never trust purse forum. They been wrong many times so i wouldn't doubt that's where you read that. TFS.

I've never had any trouble but do know that back in the day it was a bad place to shop for authentic items, however today's ebay is very strick when it comes to fakes. Hi friend! I wouldn't take off the D-rings, I just went ahead and cut the strap off completely from the leather attached to the D-rings. You need them to hook a strap to. But, I only did that because I want to use a chain strap or claw clip strap which in my opinion looks better. There's nothing wrong with leaving the original strap, I just like options. Thats exactly what i want to do. change the strap with a chain to be a nice evening crossbody bag but i don’t want to cut the strap just so i can put it back on when i change my mind and wants the leather strap back again without an extra clamp hardware. Do you think the D ring is detachable somehow?
Hi friend, if you take off the D-rings there's nothing to clip a strap or chain to. The D-rings are what holds the strap/chain. But to answer your question yes they can be screwed off it's the very same that the Willis bag has. But without them you won't be able to use a strap/chain. Hope this helps, have a wonderful day 🌹
Hi friend! I don't think a top handle from the Willis would be long enough, BUT, you definitely can use a different top handle strap that will fit. I cut the strap off my Murphy because I like options and some times I use a chain strap on it or a claw clip strap like what's on the Willis. You can look on ebay for short top handle replacement straps I've done that before and have a top handle strap that I use on some of my bags that doesn't have a top handle, such as the Murphy. Hi friend, sorry but sounds like the bag you have is fake. The style number for the Willis is 9927 and the Murphy is 9930. The style number you gave me is for a totally different bag and the first three digits doesn't match up. There's MANY fakes out there sorry to say 😩

Mine is flat . It also has a seam in the bottom center and has serial code m2z 9974 creed says made in the United States - maybe it’s a fake ??
