Been feeling so depressed n stressed out lately until i discovered h•a a few weeks ago, i keep listening to all of their songs on repeat errdayy goin to work just to give me hope n motivation. The music so good n lyrics are so deep n meaningful ♡ feels like a theraphy session before i enter my war zone at work lol new fan frm malaysia here! I kept thinking and saying last year around March/April/May 2020 that all the content and media from the before times felt so strange to not be overshadowed by this all encompassing pandemic and how all the content produced during the early days of quarantine had this looming over it which will make it weird to revisit or discover later on once this is all over. Everything of the last year has been so thoroughly impacted by Covid that there is no escaping it. That doesn't make it a negative in its own right, but it's naive to pretend the influence isn't there.

In all seriousness, I saw that someone said they feared the band going mainstream. Maybe it's just the way of the world today... but what makes an artist mainstream? They've had at least one huge hit, and I'm shocked when I see that "What's Wrong" has less than 5 million views a month later. Sure I don't want to compete with scalpers to buy tickets should they make it to SF (I'll be in the crowd singing along). But isn't it more important that they as artists can make a living and continue to be inspired to make such amazing moves to thought-provoking music? At the end of the day, the journey is theirs to take and we are just willing passengers on an incredible car ride. All we can do is say thank you, and maybe let us know how we can chip in for fuel.
