    That's for showing us the performance in heavy rain. I have to admit, I chuckled watching you put a cover in the bike after you soaked every inch of it. 🤣 - Frank

      Thanks for watching Frank. The utter downpour all day rolled right off the cover. Better for the electronics over time.

    How would you compare these tyre to the rallz/ front venture, on and off road? Like alot of riders i want a tyre that's decent enough on road, but when i d hit a trail, i want that same tyre to be really great! Personally, id be happy with 4000miles of rubber!

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  Месяц назад

      That's about the mileage I have gotten from the XT+ on my 1190. They are amazing in the dirt. I wish the rear has a side bite lug... that's where the RallZ rear excels. Now... that same situation but reversed is why the XT+ is better than the Dual Venture, the side bite lug on the XT+ gives it the edge. I think RallZ rear and XT+ front is going to be the new favorite.

    Imho driving on straight roads gives almost no feedback from the tyres. You gotta be careful riding that close behind cars in such rainy weather, if they brake hard you're going to merge with them... Stay safe brother so you can keep riding !

    Tire pressure? (front and rear) Wet performance seems to be better than Motoz's, am I correct?
    I've just fitted a set of XT+ Dakars to my R1250GSA and still getting used to them... Everybody says the XT+ front excels but i find it a bit radical... Coming from DV+Rallz combo I thought it would not cause me such impression, especially on pavement. Maybe because it is the Dakar version?? And yes, I agree, the rear Rallz is better.

    You’ve had some crazy wet rides this winter. Looking forward to your full opinion of these Mitas tires. I just busted out my Rabaconda today and mounted a new rear RallZ on my 890. Without hurrying, the old tire was off five minutes after I turned the axle nut, and the new tire was mounted six minutes later. Such a great system!

    I have KTM 890 on Motoz Rallz tires. Chose tires because of your videos. I ride everyday, everywhere, rain or shine. My problem is keeping rain water out from inside my Arai XD4 helmet. Once the inside of my shield gets wet it fogs up so bad I can't see through it. I don't mind the rain other than that. At night I can't see at all. I don't own a car so my two bikes (zx-14r) are my only option. What Helmet setup do you use for rain? Should I use a tall er windshield on my KTM. Love your videos. I always take your advice.

    How was the braking performance? Very impressive tire to do so well in the mud and the rain. Is it a very soft compound? How do you anticipate the mileage to be for commuting? I would love a tire that aggressive for my weekend off road messing around but I need it to do very well in the rain for my daily commute here in Oregon. If it can do that AND last a reasonable amount of time for the money then I’m sold! Thanks as always for the awesome wet and cold tire reviews! Also thanks for turning me onto WildAss. I love my seat cushion!

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  8 месяцев назад

      WildAss makes such a difference! You are welcome... These tires have the same durometer reading as the Motoz. I think the compound is vey similar. A couple mm less tread depth, but we shall see! I should be similar to the Motoz Rallz

    Thanks for the wet weather review. In more than fifty years of riding, I have often ridden in the rain when commuting to work. The painted lines are almost always slippery. It doesn't matter what tire you ride on. These off road oriented tires performed impressively on wet pavement. I will consider these tires for my Africa Twin AS when my Hidenaus need replacement. Now retired, I choose not to ride in the rain. Mostly because it's a PITA to clean the bike afterwards.

    Oh man. As a West Coast British Columbian, I love it when Californians try to drive and ride in the rain, it's honesetly so interesting. The carnage, the piss poor water managment on 6 lane highways, the drivers, the CHP everywhere, it's wild. Kudos for getting it done, those riding conditions ain't fun! The E-09 Dakar was great on wet compared to my dunlops right now. They rode up steepish rocky slab single track in the wet surprisingly well. Looking forward to trying the new Enduro trail xt+ newley branded E-13/E-09 tires to test out the difference between the new and old. Do have to say I think their labeling/ naming of the new stuff took a step back slightly towards the confusing side, but maybe that's just because I was familar with the Mitas model names and they made sense to me. Maybe the better call in the long run, but we'll see. Need to get these re-tested this year👍🏻 Great vid
