Fantastic! I’m 75 and just learned about the Camino! I wish I knew about it when I was your age, as I feel too old now!❤❤

@@debsmith8102 Oh Deb! It really depends on the 75 year old! There are men and women on Camino senior to you. It’s just walking…one foot in front of the other. And, you can do Camino your way. Take your time. Make your days as long or short as you like. And, you don’t have to climb mountains. Maybe Sarria to Santiago? That’s a great walk and not mountainous! There’s also Camino Portuguese and walking two weeks along the coastline. Both of those routes will earn you a Compostela. And, you’re never alone. Buen Camino, Deb!💕

I walked the Frances in in 2019 - there was an 80 year old Japanese woman walking ... last year I did the Frances again ... and in Ponferada I met a man in his upper 70's walking the camino. It's just a matter of your overall health and fitness. I'm going again in May ... yep, the Camino Frances again and I will make a daily Vlog like this lovely lady ;-).

@wanderlustpilgrim Hi Wanderlust! I am gathering information to help me make decisions about where to walk in ‘25. I am very interested to hear what it was like to do Frances a second time. I am considering Norte and Primitivo or Francigena. But, Frances is pulling hard on my heart. Would it be best to continue discovering different “Ways” or rediscover my first “Way”? I would love to hear back from you 🙏💕😊🥾

@@kbhothothot when I did it the second time I wanted to take trails I hadn't taken before (i.e. alternate trails) and stay in cities I hadn't stayed in before. I didn't do the other smaller caminos because to me, well, I like the longer walks ... more days of solitude . I remember several times last year ... saying to myself, I don't remember this or that (!) from 2019 ... I'm going back in May and doing the Frances again, and am planning to take alternate trails I hadn't taken before (i.e. the Samos trail) ... can't wait to do that this time. And this time I get to stay in Cirueña and Grañon, two cities I hadn't yet stayed in before (and adding Foncebadon to that and Amenal and many more) ... I think if it's tugging at you (like it does me) go for it.

I've wanted to do the Camino for years but have started to think maybe I am getting too old (67) so I was happy to find your videos and loved the shot of the Camino community that showed so many older looking people. I'm inspired! Time to find great hiking shoes, start training on some hills and brush up on my Spanish!

Hi Frannie! Oh! I hope you do go! The people who walk the Camino are the people who can find the time: the very young and the recently retired. There are sooo many people our age and it’s really fun to meet everyone. Buen Camino!

Kathy, what a wonderful talent you have with your commentary. I'm totally hooked. I love the spider web shot, just beautiful. What is a Buff? I have no idea what you are talking about. Is it a brand of clothing? I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos.

@@jillpannill2578Hi Jill! I had no idea at the time that I was creating an intrigue! “The Buff” is a simple circle of knit, like a tee shirt weight, that serves as a headband, turtleneck, handkerchief, etc. In the early days of my Camino, we were hiking in 100 degree temperatures, so I was using my buff to mop up the sweat on my face and neck. Buen Camino!
