I have a 2010 Turbo that has keyless entry, a USB port in the back and front consoles and a couple of lighter plug-ins, yea SD card is old now but remember there was no audio bluetooth then so it was audio plug in, CD, or SD card (which could hold a ton of music-until you decided you wanted to change your music, lol). The safety features I agree with, but I really like the 4 zone climate control because I have a wife and two kids who can set their own temps! The air suspension, like you said, is the price you pay to play my friend. Plus it is amazing, drive a Panamera without it and you will never complain again. When I get on the interstate, set the adaptive cruise control, put the performance in normal mode (not sport or sport plus), and put the suspension on the lowest setting (two red lights), I get 28-30 mpg! Out of a 500hp performance sedan! That is just magic. The one thing you have to remember about buying a used Porsche is that you have to know the features you want in your car and keep looking until you find enough of them that you are happy. Because, like you said, most Porsches are built by the first owner.
Joe Christie, I think all the turbo models comes with keyless entry, I almost got one, but liked the GTS blacked out accents and aggressive sound, overall I am happy with my car these are some small things that I didn’t like. thanks for your support
You got the part about the ignition switch being on yne left side partially right. It was done for racing but it was so the driver could start the car with the left hand while putting the shifter into 1st gear at the same time so they could start the race faster.
Need2Speed car reviews damn I love the Panamera. I think about trading my Charger SRT Hellcat in for one next year depending on how the economy goes. I’m also used to American muscle car reliability/maintenance costs tbh.Are u in the D/FW area by chance? If u are hook a brutha up with a ride and turn me into a Porsche believer.
The slot in the PCM on the dash is a SIM card for a 3G cellular account. It was primarily used in Europe where an owner could insert their own SIM card and have the cellular system in the car work directly rather than link through Bluetooth to an external phone.
Great video again big dawg. Have to agree with you 💯 percent especially when it comes to safety. I have kids so that is the most important thing to me is for them to be safe. The keyless intro thing I also agree with. However, the new generation has a key already in the ignition but you do have to turn it. But at least you don't have to bring your key out. VERY VALID POINTS..
The sight lines in this car is terrible so I'm definitely surprised it never came with blindspot detected. Also I'm very surprised you need to use the key to enter this car. I had a 2007 Altima that detected when I got close to the car and I could just pull the door open. It also had a push button start. Hopefully future Panamara's have solved this issue. Good video man.
Smokescreen Inc Porsche decided to make those simple features options instead of being standard, it’s an awesome car but they nickel and dime you for everything.
2 more- Love mine…. But you have to remove the entire front bumper and headlights to change…. the air filter! Second, window tint scratches ….so you need to remove the door panels, add protective felt and retint.
Great video mane! Very useful content. Building a Porsche...think “a la carte”...you pick the base model you want, then add the options. Kinda like that cause it’s like the old days when you just have more selectivity with moving the different options around on the model you like...I think someone at Porsche was listening and heard the complaint about the key fob, as they all lock/unlock with fob in your pocket when you touch the door handle. LOL.
I have the same one and mine has keyless entry and I don't need to use my key to start the car it has a dummy key in it and all you have to do is turn it. So maybe yours was optioned different or something. Idk.
I'm looking between a gen 1 GTS and Turbo. This has been very helpful. I would love to talk more on daily use of this vehicle and practicality. I'm coming from a CTS-V sedan.
Cameron Curry I’m a fan of the CTS-V, with that being said you should look for the turbo due to accelerating being exhilarating also. The turbos are also equipped with more standard features. Both cars are super practical and extremely reliable. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps.
Cameron Curry It doesn’t, but can be achieved with an aftermarket exhaust fabspeed does a real good job with exhaust for the turbos check them out on RUclips.
I kind of agree, that having a 4 zone climate control is a waste, if you rarely carry passengers in the back. But I like saying I have certain features in a car that are “extra”, meaning I’ll never use it, but I have it, and I like to brag about it. My 2012 VW Passat has keyless entry, and it’s the best system I’ve seen. There’s no button on the door handle. You can wave your hand over the handle, heck you can just move your body by the sensor, and it will lock and unlock (with the key in your pocket), instead of having to press a button on some cars I’ve seen. I agree that having that would be great. My last Passat, a 2007 model, you had to put the key in a slot in the dash. I enjoyed doing that, although the convenience and speed of having a start button is a better system.
You answered many things yourself at the beginning, Porsche is a bespoke car, what they buyer orders for is what you get, when you buy used, you are stuck with the original owners options and that’s the price of buying a high end luxury German / European car, Japanese put everything in their cars because they want to sell millions of units, German cars like Porsche are bought by enthusiasts that understand that is takes dedication to maintain and run performance luxury
That's not true at all. I have never heard any Porsche owner say they are fine with paying ridiculously expensive repair costs. How did you come to that conclusion?! Porsche offers a somewhat unique product where they can get away with charging a lot, because they can. It's about making money at the end of the day. Their profit margins are higher than say Japanese cars. Their goal isn't to sell more cars. Maintain exclusivity.
Bro your mainly complaining ABOUT HINGS THAT WERE NORMAL FOR THE YEAR YOUR BOUGHT LOL. For everyone complaining about safety features this year wasn't normal. Plus your driving a Porsche! its a 150000k car that was meant to be optioned and taken delivery of. You just happen to buy one where the owner didn't need Safety features. And keyless entry is a new feature my guy. All Porsches from the year your making this video has it. this is a dumb complaint. if you want all those features buy a Porsche from this decade. its that simple. i have a CLS 550 from 2010 and it doesn't have those thing's. I mean your being unreasonable lol that's like buying a old 1965 Cadillac Deville and complaining there is nav system. like bro what are you on.

I’m undecided between the panamara and 750li both 2013
Both are nice cars, I can only speak on the Panamera because I owned it for 7 years. You will love it.
I’ve owned both. Go with panamera
Isn't that slot near the radio (comment 3) for a SIM card?
Yes it is, that style of SIM card is hard to find in today’s market.

No problem. I’m debating on buying a Panamera 1st gen like yours just don’t know what trim to get. I really like the GTS like you have
@@rollingwitced7479 in my honest opinion the GTS is the best model, it’s rare and have most of the options you would want. Good luck 🍀

Is the panamera now More top or flop ?
Panamera is a good reliable vehicle, not a flop
Great video, I agree with everything you said. I purchased a used 2013 GTS . The rear spoiler fails, stop working. It can’t be fixed or replaced
Hopefully they can resolve that issue Nate
Mine is always opened but it is 2014
How is it that the dealership can’t fix that??
what he means is its to expensive to fix. They can be replaced for around $5000. The wing parts alone are around $4000
