While the '17- generation may be prettier, the '14 - '16 Panamera GTS is just pure Porsche.
Simply the coolest and best sports sedan ever made. Period.
Loved the review, covered pretty much everything. I just traded in my 2015 Boxster S for a 2013 Panamera GTS with low mileage.
One thing I wanted to touch on is the used market stuff.. In Canada I know a 2013 Panamera GTS is definitely attainable in the $75-90,000 (Canadian dollars I'm talking) but for that money you can get a much newer E63, and in terms of M3 you can get a 2017 lightly used practically for the same money, so a 4 years newer car. Different categories in the used market.
A 2016 Panamera GTS will run you $105,000-120,000 (seen some for 130+)
2016 E63 amg $84,000-90,000
2016 m3 $65,000-$75,000
Very different prices, but if you're willing to get the Porsche a few years older it might be out of warranty. However, Porsche definitely has 10000x better reliability than Mercedes or BMW hands down so less to worry about even if you do go that route.
On the car itself, a lot of my close friends/family thought I was stupid to trade in my Boxster S which was quick, convertible, and optioned out. Just like you said, once they got in it and came for a ride or took it for a spin themselves opinion completely changed. Feels better than my Boxster S & has the luxury and comfort of an S-class. The size of this car & its presence on the road is unmatched in its segment in my opinion. Hit the nail on the head when you said everyone will turn around to look at it and either love it or hate it. Thing is, no matter what 10/10 people turn to look at it.
Finally, the beauty about Porsche which everyone should remember before they buy an AMG is that they don't change design much or very often. The panamera had a modern makeover and the back as changed, but the former model still looks amazing & they won't change it again for another 7 years. I feel like the new AMG's compared to the previous generation have almost nothing in common. the only thing I recognize about a new e63 and the old ones is the square style seats in the interior.. Porsche is timeless, period - BMW is also the same, they always look good and keep a consistent look in their M models.

Whats up homeboy, I see you driving up and down Branch Road.. lol. I fell in love with the Panamera as soon as I seen it, then I learned the difference between the type of Panamera's. I have a 2013 GTS and you're right, its like a small car in a big body. People heads turn and I get compliments all day long from old young black white asian you name it. I love pulling up in it and I feel like the dopest dude alive when I drive it. I'm going to bring it down to the 229 and run up and down Slappey and Oglethorpe!
As soon as i get a crib with a garage, I'm getting a 2013 GTS. I been on it since it dropped!

really? I was not impressed when I tested one. I am one of those who says that Porsche is 911 and nothing else. I read that the Panamera feels like a 911 on the road. NOTHING like it. A lot of body roll and too heavy for 430-50 hp.

Great review, you’re well spoken and cover really relevant points. I was like you and didn’t used to like the panamera, but now I know it’s the car for me. Getting one next year, although it may have to be just an S. I still think it’ll be more than enough for a daily.

Luv the review and have been in love with the Panamera look since it's introduction. I knew my next car would be a Panamera and favored the GTS. I had test drove several models but i wasn't overly impressed so there was no rush to purchase one, UNTIL! Based on your review (and a few others) i decided to find a pre-owned GTS to test drive. needless to say 3 days later i'm a proud owner of a 2014 Panamera GTS. I smile in my sleep for no other reason than the feel i get when driving this car. Any suggestions on ECU tune or performance mods.

Great review. I just bought a 2015 panamera gts and pick it up next week. Its my first porsche experience having come from a 2013 slk 55 amg - a compmetely different breed.
Im expecting great things out of the gts and particularly looking forward to the long country drives

Question, which car would you buy between the panamera GTS and f10 M 5.
Last year, I bought an 2013 M5 and sold it in 3 months because it was quite harsh and there was too much vibration in the steering wheel. I want an everyday car that is smooth but direct and rigid. I'm looking at a gts or a newer M5.
Jagda the m5 is the better performer but I personally prefer the GTS. It's super smooth and very visceral. Every time I drive any Porsche even if it's statistically speaking lesser than the BMW, it feels so much better in almost every way. I say drive them both. I will say the M5 feels more luxurious than the GTS
That price though...lot of coin. If you are considering a Panamera with a just a few options...you have left the world of mortal cars behind. Easily up in the $130Ks without breaking a sweat...

76ers the M5 is kind of a different league. Nonetheless, I'll go with the Panamera GTS it feels more visceral and driver focused to me. The M5 feels blended well between luxury and sport . The GTS feels like a blown up sports car

How does the Panamera GTS compare to the Audi S6 in terms of performance and overall luxury? But the S6 is twin-turbo charged!!!
vcliburn the S6, statistically speaking is better than the Panamera GTS. I haven't extensively driven an S6 but I have an S7 and I personally didn't enjoy it. The S6 may be better however. All that said, the S6 is one of the few Audis I have actually recommended for people so it's not a bad buy in my opinion. As far as luxury goes, I give the nod to the Panamera for feeling one step above.
11:40 ..well the lastest E63 doesnt even sound that beautiful from outside and inside there is fake engine sound from the speakers now 😒The Panamera GTS sounds million times better and has waaaay better handling
