Had an awesome night out at Sydney Motorpsort park last night!!! So many fast cars going head to head for 3 hours. Was good to see some familiar cars that i have gotten footage of before. Watch near the end for the Toyota mr2 that spun out and nearly crashed.

That MR2 driver had the brains not trying to correct the slide (with a high chance of a tank slapper and a nasty rendez-vous with the wall) but to hit the brakes hard and lock the tires - keeping the directional momentum and just let the car slide. Better to kill a set of tires than a whole car...

I had a 1990 MR2 turbo for eleven years until the engine died after the third turbo replacement. Mass production car dealerships have no idea how to fix the rare high performance model. I hope this is not repeated with the GR Corolla that I have in order. On the other hand, contemporary turbos never need replacement. The car magazines said that mid car engine placement in the MR2 made it very stable. In reality it was very easy, if you were not careful, to spin it. Supposedly they made some corrections in the rear suspension in later model years. Of course there are no stability systems in these cars.
In this case its a 8 second 1100whp Mr2, on this kind of track at night with Oil sand down an slippery conditions rwd too spin out a fair bit,
@@jjsorenavki7005 yeah at that power level I imagine any car wiil be sketchy. My Mr2 is around 500wkw and feels scary fast. Another 320wkw+ would be hectic!

The 1990 MR2 was an amazing car for elven years until the engine died but the hat toyota tocoma rather a 1990 truck which has enough power to smack a gtr is a dope truck
