Can we just appreciate Rachel's boyfriend for a moment? After all these years he is still very upset, you can see the pain in his eyes - he really loved her. That's so tragic that they didn't have a chance to have their happily ever after. My heart goes to him.

I do not think there should be any time period for reporting missing persons. People are not stupid they know if someone is not around and if its out of character or not, especially in this day and age with mobiles. If someone who is always on time is a half hour late and they wont answer their calls that to me is evidence enough. And say they do turn up 5 mins later ? So what, id rather waste 5 mins of police time than loose hours on a search for someone who really is missing.

Doesnt mean she vanished the next second.
The killer could have been hiding in her home, waiting for her to return so they can attack her.
Or, it could have been a burglary, and she returns to surprise the burglars, in which case they kill her.
      Or.....a million other things.
Neighbors werent stalking her ffs. They didnt have eyes set on her at all times.

They found out later it was a teenage boy that grew up with the girls older brother and lived across the street from her. He had also sexually assaulted her. So it would seem to me to disappear so close to home and not have a suspect means obviously it's someone close to home that no one subconsciously sees as a threat. Someone with a sexual deviancy and probably a young adult Male that knows her. This is so unfortunate that these trained police would rather believe in an alien abduction than the obvious. 1:45 "Rachel was a Lone Star Stunner".
NONSENSE!!! There's only one Lone Star Stunner. His name is:
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN (Glass Shatters)

I can almost smell the smoke coming out of everyone's ears. Stories like this one really gets those gears turning in the mind. It's one of those things that can drive you crazy.

It has now been almost 19 years since her disappearance and yet no news on her whereabouts. This is truly a mystery.

Can’t stand this lady that tells the story. So over sensationalized and overdramatized. Like being yelled at. Just tell the story!!!

@Carol Elizabeth....yeah, I don’t particularly like her either, but the show is so addictive. Luckily, she doesn’t narrate all of the cases.

@@taydestiny38 😂 It's my only relief that she doesn't narrate all the episodes. I normally just skip. Her lowkey shouting is not relaxing at all. You just want to murder a drink!

I totally agree. She’s so annoying with that voice. And saying dumb things like she “lit up the central Texas prairie” or whatever. (Huge eye roll)

Wow her sister is absolutely gorgeous too... at 12:20-22 she looks so much like her. That has gotta be tough on a parent to get glimpse of what you're missing in your other child. 😭

I hope nobody lies about how my smile lit up a room when I'm gone...."the couple people who knew her expressed shock that the killer even gave her a second glance. In a room full of people, no one knew who she was or what she was doing there, if they even noticed her at all"

I’ve lived in Austin for 20+ years, I remember the billboards with her name and face. I think some of them might still be up, maybe the last one I saw was only a few years ago. Her face was everywhere.

I can’t believe any police officer would have thought she just ran off. That’s so irresponsible.
