Hey man just letting you know I found your channel a year ago and haven’t stopped fishing since. You really make things simple and REALISTIC! Keep up the work and hope you have a great year!
I love the looks of that stream. The last rainbow was a beauty. Gotta admit even though I'm a devout catch and release guy, it would be tough not to take that one for supper.
Trout are so tasty though. Pan fried in butter, baked with lemon or smoked. My favorite eating, fresh water fish. Definitely helps to get a good sized fish out of one of the larger deep lakes. My best was just over five pounds, a rainbow, and it tasted like a mild fresh salmon. 🖒
Moved to Texas originally from Northern California miss trout fishing so much there are a few places to go here. You are motivating me to go hunt them down. Thank you sir, keep it realistic in 2021 and beyond!
I really love how that fishing place looks. Some slow current pools, some fast current, some random breaks, spots with some cover, and not a ton of people standing on top of you while you fish. There's some foot traffic, but it's people passing by and seems like an overall enjoyable place to fish. It's especially better when the weather isn't crummy and the trout are biting haha. Another great vid as usual.
I love to trout fish...haven't done any for some years now..Arkansas is the last place I done it..i miss that..great video bro..as always..had a blast..keep it realistic
Good to see you on the worms. You had some nice trout in this session, sometimes the natural baits work just as well. Another realistic video, this is what angling/fishing is all about
That bridge Spot kicks butt. Combined your Bass Bait with your new trout spot. Loved the long distance cast off the top rope (Bridge). Enjoyed it. Fish on!
Those shiners are AWESOME catfish bait. I wish we had trout here in the lowcountry of SC. Use to catch big rainbows in Colorado when we visited my grandmother.
I enjoyed lot of your video, you know when another lock down in my area make things suck, no public crowd, beach is closed, public park is closed, there are police patroll everywhere, its the worst new year yesterday. When the situation get better i am going out fishing. Thanks man.
I used to catch bruisers on the Missouri River in Montana on night crawlers. The highlight was throwing a couple in a cooler full of ice and pissing off the fly fisgermen
I never had much luck with trout on night crawlers, the hornet heads and shiners always got it first lol. Those are pretty rainbows brother, really thick eater size for sure. Even the shiners are beefy. Really cool fishing spot man.
When growing up in Maine, we always be used nightcrawlers on the big spring fed lakes for large trout. There's nothing like real bait vs. artificial bait to increase catch ratios.
@@RealisticFishing not many places in AL, our waters are too warm. But if you're ever around Wheeler Lake HMU. I'll try to guide you around to some of my favorite spots
@@minnowstomonsters8462 LOL this morning... I catch about a 2lb catfish. As the fish is in my hands this lady walking her dog says "did you catch that here?". No, I fucking brought it with me.
When you climbed back up the bank after releasing your first one the camera caught a dead stump at the top waiting for you that looked like a Doberman sitting with ears up. You had to walk a little to find them, but finding them makes it worth it. Keep It Realistic!
Solid Trout bro 🤘 Great episode as always! I haven’t participated in all of your giveaways recently, but it rocks that you give back and play fair 👌 Hope you were able to do what you wished for the holidays and I wish you good fortune in all you pursue this year 🙏 Happy New Year Alex 🤙
So stoked to see ya try out the half a crawler technique! Works wonders out here in Nor-Cal, especially up in the Sierra's. The trout do tend to try and swallow it down quick and a deep hookset is common, but we keep em for the frying pan and the smoker so not really a problem. 🖒
Those were some really nice trout, I'm jealous of how big they are. Went fishing new years day and got skunked, it rained the night before and really muddied up the water went home because it was too cold and windy
@@RealisticFishing 🤣🤣🤣 that actually happened one time; lady telling me there's no fish in a certain city lake and that her husband tried every year... and my buddy hooks up! Perfect timing.
Awesome video and great catches of fish I didn't catch any fish but my dad caught three fish but I will probably end up catching a fish and a bunch of fish the next time me and my mom and my dad go fishing
DNR stocks trout here in northern Ohio in early spring. But they all die off by Summer due to the heat. Do the stock trout survive year round In that stream? Love the video as usual. KIR.
Going fishing for some stocked trout this weekend. I know in Tennessee I need a trout license but are there any other rules I should be aware of? I was planning on using worms, power bait, and corn
Some location have limits on how many you can keep as well as size restrictions. They are sticklers for this kind of stuff and its on you to check your local rules.
Next time you go trout fishing try the bread and butter method ..hook the worm on then put a little ball of trout dough bait on the hook above the worm . In Oregon this works good for big trout...
Wow I didn't know that trout hit on nightcrawlers especially rainbow trout I will have to try this out sometime maybe I might catch my first trout maybe a rainbow trout in the future
I'm new to fishing, I see you don't use a barrel swivel or anything. Any issues with like like twists or anything? Everyone on the internet screams to use one but I just like your simple setup..
Look like a solid handful of eating fish if you actually wanted to. Only time Ive seen you keep fish were I believe striper or yellow bass from a boat.
I do most of my trout fishing on worms. Caught of my biggest (21') on a half a nightcrawler. Its not the most exciting way to trout fish but it can be fun

Enjoy the videos. I also enjoy fishing up and down that stream
It can be a good spot!
Nice to see some trout still being caught here. The people wipe them out so fast after stocking
Happy New Year. Stay well. Keep having fun.
Thanks, you too!
Nice catch today! Keep up the good work.
Keeping it realistic
Thanks! Will do!
That is a cool fishing spot.. I like some good ol urban fishing!
Not really urban, but people do show up for the walking trail
Good to you sooo getting them out there. Looks like worms the way to go. Been striking out on the power bait and power eggs.
Some real nice trout there Alex! Thanks again my friend! Happy New Year!
Solid video...Happy New year's
Nice way to start a new year of fishing adventures.
Good video and good catches. You inspire me to go out and give it a try.

Me too, I get a little exercise
Beautiful trout.
Just watched your old video of you using playdoh to catch trout...fun video. Keep up the good work!

Hey I just wanted to let you know I thank you for keeping it realistic.
Its ice up here on most ponds and streams have ice too. Michigan 2021, have a Good year fishing
Nice alex! Good job out there!
I can remember I used to catch some big trout over in Arkansas on yellow corn in the lake and used to fish spoons in the river for trout
I have also used corn with success
Awesome trout. Looks a little cold.

You need to fish in better trout streams-seriously.
I used to go to Montauk state park in Missouri when I visited family. I cought some nice rainbow trout there.
Sounds like a good time
They only cut part of 1 fin here in CT for stocked trout.
Good catches man!
When growing up in Maine, we always be used nightcrawlers on the big spring fed lakes for large trout. There's nothing like real bait vs. artificial bait to increase catch ratios.
They liked em, even though they were pellet fed for years
I’ve had great success with meal worms for trout, you can never go wrong with live bait!! Great to see you out there 👊🏻
Nice work!
👍
Really good looking creek. You've been killing it with the trout fishing lately! 👊 🐟 👍🎣
I'm surprised that you're waters aren't frozen yet! But I'm from Minnesota so we have atleast 6 to 7 inches of ice already! Great video btw!
Same in new York about inch or two
Moving water like these streams dont freeze in TN 😉
same in michigan. With a couple feet of snow too
Right now in NJ, moving water is your best bet, still water ponds, small lakes covered in ice.
Couple of nice dinner fish you got there! That’s some realistic fishing! 🎣
AWESOME VIDEO MAN. wish I could find some trout water near me
Google it 😉

Heck yeah Alex. Nice day fishing 🎣
Lady: Catch anything?
RF: Yea, A couple

RF: No, I'm lying to you!
Good catches Alex, Fishing around here sucks.
I love when people say that as I land a fish. Like what the heck do you think we are out there for?

Nice trout! Would be interesting to see you try Trout Magnets.
I have tried them, but only caught one trout on them so far. I catch way more panfish on them.

Like to see a catch and cook. Those trout make me hungry.
yeah, if it wasn't such clickbait I might
Great job as always friend, I'm curious how long were you out there for?
Why were there front fins missing, what do you think happened there?
Is it best to go some spool tension with low brakes, or no spool tension with high brakes?
You should get some of them shiners next season and do some bass fishing with them 😁 I have caught some big river bass and pike off them!
I love being told what I should be doing 🙄😆
I was just trying to give a idea for a video but it’s all good
No prob. I just don't like the word should. It implies I am doing something wrong. Look up the definition if you never have.
