Adding lights is actually a very easy process, especially when using the Woodland Scenics Just Plug system to interconnect all the lighting.

Luke should do an underwater scene, like a ship wreck with scuba divers or a reef or something.
that is definitely a great idea! It's something I'll definitely be trying... I just need to plan it out.
@@BoulderCreekRailroad Oooo, maybe a shipwreck with underwater lights, an ROV, and some divers like a salvage operation. ..far out
@@mw5905 and sharks with big frigging lasers!
Wow wow wow.
You truly are a master at this. Look forward to everyone of your videos 👍🏻
How about a submarine?
Hi Luke, I'm a six years old girl from Holland, and I watch all your projects with my father.
Greetings and love Norah
The lighting effects totally bring the scene to life. Nicely done.
thanks mate, yeah the lights certainly make a big difference 😉
I always get excited for new videos like this when I see them in my feed
awesome! I'm glad you enjoy the videos 😉
Yes, I feel exactly the same
Seriously! I was like.. "oh yah, a another Luke video"
Me too 😍😍
@@BoulderCreekRailroad você poderia colocar o link do kit para podermos comprar !🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I truly appreciate that somone who is at the very top of their craft desides to share his wisdom. Thank you!
no worries mate, I not only enjoy building these dioramas but I also love to show others so they too can build awesome modes 😉
Your work never ceases to amaze me Luke :)
thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the videos
just the amount of time you put into working on the model, the video editing and getting the right camera shots is just astounding. Then having to cut and splice them all together. this man is amazing.
Man your work should be advertisement for woodland scenics
lol... yeah I definitely use a lot of their products! It's the most readily available for me, and easiest to get, I like a lot of the Noch products as well but it's often sold out or on back order at the local hobby shop...
@@BoulderCreekRailroad theres one of there older product lines that rarly gets any notice thats there pewter tree line i know you could do a how to on them as they are very detailed castings
@@BoulderCreekRailroad Wait are you NOT sponsored by Woodland Scenics and so on? They're getting a lot of free advertising lol...you'd think they'd send you some products to try or at least a pack of Skittles.
I hope not, that way free to try and critique any product; could always sell the finished product to them.
probably the best model maker I've ever seen, I've always had a fascination about miniatures and this is perfect
Takes dirt from garden ads some thing to make it more realistic
lol... I never thought of it like that!
I often use small rocks in my scenery, but they don't look 'real' until you paint them. I think it has to do with scale/perspective...
Lol I was thinking the same thing, but then I realised it's because once you remove all those larger dirt and rock pieces, you also remove some of the other colours, and it looks too dark.
@@BellefromOz I think it has to do with lighting too. Just straight dirt, and you lose some of the natural highlights it has in nature, where mixing it like he does gives it more variation and brings some of that back.
@@TotemoGaijin true!
Fantastic tutorial again. I never tire of watching them? Thanks Luke for taking the time making these brilliant videos?
Thanks so much Russell, it's good to know you enjoy watching the videos 😃
I would love to see a video of all The diorama’s you have done 🤤🙏🏼☺️
Luke you never fail to amaze me with your ideas and skill . Food for thought indeed .
I feel so relaxed after watching this video.
These videos are always so amazingly detailed they look so life like
I don't know how you do it...but I never seem to tire of your videos! Keep it up!
Fantastic!
Always happy when we see a new video online.
My sister used to do a lot of crafts and being in contact w/so much glue she developed an alergic reaction to the point where she cannot even apply a bandaid to a cut on her finger - she would immediately break out in a painful, nasty rash. She has to apply a prescribed topical medication now, whenever any kind of glue touches her skin. She had to abandon her beloved hobbies.
Your work is brilliant and beautiful!
Amazing. How can anyone give this a thumbs down? This takes tremendous skill and talent.
Gives a dollhouse a whole new dimension.. :))
Luke is a true master at what he's doing.
Hat off.
"Damn it I was about to go to bed, now I need to stay up and watch this cause its probably amazing like all your other videos" says the guy from Adelaide
Matthew Williams same but vic
ha ha thanks Matthew 😃 maybe it will help you get to sleep
Luke Towan you do have a soothing voice lol
Please never stop doing this!! I was thinking just last night its about time of a diorama from Luke
lol... good timing 😉 It's good to know you are enjoying the videos
The model doesn't differ from the real. Great job. Do you dare with a diorama about Spain? 👍👍👍
thanks mate, glad you enjoyed watching, I don't know much about Spain but there are some amazing historical buildings that look fantastic!
Luke you are just brilliant simply love your work. It's just awesome
This is without a doubt my favourite youtube channel. Nothing makes me more calm and happy than watching this before bed. Keep it coming ❤
very relaxing to watch.. how long do your projects take in real time?
Thanksmate, to be honest they don't take all that long.If I had to put a time frame I'd probably say about 12 hours but the reason I take so long to make these videos is because the process of filming easily triples the build time and then there is all the brain storming on what angle I'll need the camera at to get the best shot. Sometimes I'll build the model twice getting multiple shots from various angles that all get spliced together in the final video... not to mention I have to juggle all this with my regular day job 😉 too much info.... lol
@@BoulderCreekRailroad I thought that would be ur real job :D Oh...
@@BoulderCreekRailroad Day job! This should BE your day job.
Even though the process to making the video AND the diorama without messing up takes a long time, its well worth the wait
thanks James, yeah it definitely takes a lot of time. I spend ages just thinking about a technique before actually testing it out... Which is why sometimes my videos take a long time to produce 😃
All the photographs you take of your models/scenes look fantastic! It would be nice if you could make a guide that shows your method/tips and any editing you do to the photos.
Awesome as always, Luke.
Thanks Merrick, looking forward to seeing what you've got coming up as well 😃
@@BoulderCreekRailroad like you, finding the time is the difficult thing. Hard enough to update my Instagram!
The thumb drew me right in....I’m like, whaaat?? So good to see your skills...
oh nice... I definitely chose the right pic for the thumbnail then 😃
Excellent, as all your work! The artificial lighting is superb! Night time looks amazingly real (23:05) and the following dawn and daylight views show that the quality of the diorama stays ultra-realistic at any kind of light you throw at it. Impressive!
thanks Jose, I did consider taking a few short cuts when building this model because I knew I'd be taking photos in low light but in the end I decided to do it as best I can so as you mentioned it looks good in both night and daylight 😃
I clicked on this by accident....I think I’m thoroughly obsessed. I feel a binge watch session coming!
i have been binge watching your videos its so addicting glad to see a new one 💓💓💓
The result is very realistic. Always a good job !
There are not enough thumbs up to give you. I am always so excited when you put out a new video!
Dude, you are crazy, its mind blowing how you make them so real looking.
It's such a joy to watch you fuss over the details! Beautiful job!
I love how every video of yours I watch inspires me even more. Keep up the great work!
Your bg music is fresh and clean
This was a great scene as always. Time to step my game up using your methods! Thanks for sharing your skills and tutorials with us.
Your models could be used as an establishing shot for any 90s TV show. Haha awesome work. Keep it up!!!!
I don't think I'll ever be able to do something like this, but it's amazing. You have done such a great job with all of your scenes. They are all so lifelike. You're very talented! Thanks for the videos, as they are relaxing and fun. I definitely enjoy watching them.
WTF?! normally it is pretty easy to spot an model Scenery. This time though, you NAILED IT, in the dark shot you saw no differences from an actual existing place.
Im stunned, great work!
Thank you Sir ! Have been looking forward to your next video. And it's amazing as always! Love it !!
I don't know if you're looking for inspiration but i think a sequoia diorama with some of the rooting system visible would be really cool and I'd love to see what you do with it.
Love this! I just ordered a shirt to show my support, when I saw this video was uploaded when I was at work today, I could not wait to get home and just chill and watch it. Love the lights. I'd love to see a haunted castle scene or intricate garden.
Luke takes a break from simulating the universe to show us how we can make something👌🏻
lol... I hope nobody noticed the earth stopped spinning for a couple of minutes 😉
Your idea is amazing luke...
Another super cool build !
Amazing work Luke! Those interior kits are great! Cheers, Dan
Wow, gorgeous.
this guy is very multi talented
You are the best one in youtube💙
My Luke sense tingled when I was at work today and i came home to another banger
Imagine if Luke did a book nook... It would own every single one I've seen.
Great brick detailing, Luke! Love the idea for the mortar! Well done!
I am so happy I found this channel. Absolutely stunning work.
Beautiful.
Dude... you are GOOD at what you do. You're like the Bob Ross of dioramas, Luke. Keep up the great work, man. Cheers! 😁👍
Amazing work Luke
i love your videos, its so relaxing to watch a perfect scene be put together
Watching you work is soooo relaxing and makes me happy I'm alive! Lol
God damn, watching your videos with a cold beer is so relaxing. Needed that after a long week, cheers buddy!
Absolutely stunning as always! Id be excited to see some kind of decrepit, abandoned building going back to nature i think it would be a challenge
Luke I have now watched about ten of your videos. When I watch you paint I think he is using to light a shade for this or that, but after it is all done it looks perfect. On this night seen I do question the light framed deck. It just looks like a safety hazard. It is taking me a while to getting used to you calling side walks foot paths. Oh well. I've learned a lot watching your videos.
We gettin close to that milly👏👏☝️🔥🔥🔥
You sure do amazing work
Another great video by 3D Bob Ross
You should try and do a post apocalypse scene! Make everything super run down looking.
Spectacular, top job sir!
thanks mate 😃
Croist, Luke, I'd love to see how much free stuff arrives in your mailbox each week, what with the constant plugs for different products! 8-D
I always can't wait for a new video!
Cheers London, hope you enjoy this one 😉 Thanks also for being a patreon 😀
Thank you so much, You gave me lots of Technic :)
Been watching every one of your videos for about a year now. I would love to see you do a large scale model. Equipt with some anamation. Thanks for your hard work!!!
Smashing work Luke! I love how this looks!
What a pro!
wonderful! His videos are addictive, his scenes seem to come from Stephen King. Beautiful work. congratulations from Brazil
Hi Luke, I was wondering how you did the sky at the very first shot of the video, it looks so magical.
I love how at the start of every video you show photos of the finished diorama, and I'm always going "bullshit! That HAS to be a real photo!" ...and then 20 minutes later I'm sitting here like a confused Neo wondering what reality is
Ola luke towan muy lindo buenaso tus videos, excelente presentación, de primera categoría lo felicito amigo, desde Rivera Uruguay saludos
WOW...another great work!!! I like the new background, is this your new workshop?
Do a mansion with tons of landscaping and stuff I think it would look cool
You should put all your dioramas together to make one big town scene the only down side is how massive it would be.
Well done Luke - amazing balls
ha ha thanks mate 😄
Luke Towan no worries. If you need anything 3D modelled, let me know
very nice, luke!
These models are amazing! You should try an urban setting once!
Looks great
Thanks Adam
i LOVE your videos.
I'll be your 1000th comment, why not. Amazing builds
amazing! Well done :D
Hi Luke, it occured to me that you never see a dirt lot that flat, have you ever considered adding slight divots or bumps to make it look more realistic?
I'm surprised you aren't sponsored by woodland scenics yet
Would a rainy scene be something to make? Maybe some sort of lake or something similar with the drops hitting it, could be way too hard to do though..
Great videos Luke but could I ask what you do with all the models you make?
awesome.........
I think Luke should step outta his comfort zone and try to make a floating island diorama, like the kind of islands from the box office movie Avatar. (Just a thought) 🤷
Also, can confirm. Corrugated metal roof owner, stuff gets rusty and dusty and mossy. Nice to listen to the rain with, though.
Amazing work as allways..keep it up luke👍
thanks mate 😉
Ola meu amigo muito lindo mesmo
Só para saber
Quanto tempo levou neste projeto ?
Projeto não obra de arte 😀🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
