I have done this conversion also. I did it exactly the same and no cutting on frames needed. It 's not hard to do. I am using a 10T pinion. I have about 15-20 flights so far and like he said the motor is very cool. Much more power than stock motor. I am running the stock two blade setup and will be putting a three blade head on soon.
So I've been flying it quite a bit. I probably have a total of about 30 flights on it and the motor handles 4S just fine. In fact, it actually comes down cooler than the stock motor.
Why don't you try the x-nova 4500kv motor is 4s rated motor and the motor size is btwn the stock motor and the 230s motor. Is a drone motor I think that would work
@@The-Fly-Kid is the x nova 1407 4000kv motor. I haven't tried it on my 180 but is a near future experiment I try doing, the width of that motor is 27-28mm
The leopard 3400kv brushless motor is a wicked little beast and it's motor mount holes are in the same position!
They also sell pinions for a 2.3 mm shaft with the same mod. as stock pinion.
i built in the motor from INFUSION 180 in this helicopter and all metall upgrades. will be absolutely great..but is enorm much work...
So freaking dope..WOW that looks sharp as hell man.

Please post a flight video of this setup on 4s☺
Would it still be ok on 4s since this rated on 3s

Nice, has it improved in power compared to stock motor
@@modelaircraft6576 Night and day difference! Huge improvement!
@@The-Fly-Kid damn that's great

I'm thinking on upgrading my 180 motor soon, nice video
Which motor specifically are you talking about?
